Just seen you on Gordon's show on TV......... BRILLIANT......... I was so happy you won. I love what you are doing and will be up to Bradford from London to visit with friends at some point and will certainly come and see you. WELL DONE !!

Sunday 26th 2010, My wife, Me and my 4 year old son happened to be in Huddersfield on a Sunday afternoon at about 3:30pm, we were hungry. We were walking through town and stumbled upon the voda bar and grill. We have eaten out on a Sunday in many pubs, bars and restaurants but not one of them has ever come close to this. The staff were friendly and accommodating, they had no special menu for children but were happy to do a smaller portion of anything for our son. We opted for the special Sunday menu with starter and main, the traditional Sunday Lunch. Lets get on to the food, it was absolutely brilliant. The Chicken portion was sizeable and cooked perfectly, not dry like every other restaurant I have eaten at, the selection of vegetables had been carefully prepared and perfectly cooked. The potatoes, mash, roasted and new potatoes were equally cooked with care and obviously by a professional chef. The gravy was also delicious. Now for me this is the benchmark, others will seriously have to raise their game to compete with this. I never write reviews, but I was so impressed by this that I felt compelled to. The only surprise was that there weren't queues outside the door. I am dying to sample some of the other meals on this menu next time we are in Huddersfield. I have no hesitation in giving this place 10/10. Brilliant!!!!

I'll start by saying I've always praised this as my favourite Indian restaurant in the country. I used to tell everyone go to kiplings it's better than Akhbars but that's all in the past. Tonight I went with my family and pregnant wife to kiplings, services was a massive let down and we kept getting drinks in dirty glasses one even had a bit of black plastic floating it in, no apology just looked put out when I asked for another. I tried to forget it and enjoy the food. Something had changed, didn't taste as authentic as it did before but still not bad. This all changed from the next bit. I am not making this up. I went to the toilet after our meal and as you know there is only one cubical in the mens. I waited for the stall to become free (5 minutes) Im bring vague as I don't think you need more detail but when the guy came out I realised he was kitchen staff and walked straight in to the backroom to the kitchen area (through the fire exit) Obviously more than a quick visit and he just didn't wash his hands. The smell was horrendous and to think he would then handle food. My wife is pregnant for god sake I've never made a scene at any restaurant it takes a lot to push me but hygiene or complete lack of disturbs me. I left it 20 mins before deciding to speak to the manager. I approached him with consideration to his business and how it may affect his customers dining that evening. His reaction was this: 'you mean the skinny guy in the tshirt, he's not a chef don't worry' I calmed down and said you can see my concerns though. It was my favourite restaurant and I couldn't believe it. I went and sat down for a bit but I got more angry for not dealing with this properly. I went back after we paid, and had another word. Manager said: 'I told you mate hes not a chef he's just pot wash!' So from not in the kitchen now he's handling our plates, glasses and cutlery. Big difference there. I proceeded to tell him that's was out of order and below an acceptable standard. I got a shrug and 'what do you want me to tell you' If we get any sort of food poisoning I'm going to sue this restaurant for a worrying lack of hygiene standards and Monday morning will be contacting department of health to look in to this. I can live with a mediocre even bad meal but kitchen staff going for a cr*p and not washing hands, jeez are we in a third world county? Used to be my favourite but possibly worst restaurant experience ever now. Furious!!!!!

Just returned from holiday in India and have watched "Ramsay's Best Restaurant" tv programme on the Internet and wish to congratulate all the staff at Prashad on getting through to the semi final. Keep up the good work and we really hope that you can go on to win the competition.

This was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. 2 hours of sheer perfection. From the moment you step into the lounge area you are looked after like royalty. The staff are so highly trained to the Burlington standards that it is a pleasure to be served by them. Their sheer professionalism in serving you is a delight to watch. Every course is described to you in detail personally at table. The miniature (not on the menu courses are amazing) e.g vichyssoise with smoked haddock, mustard ice cream and a quails egg, that was 1 of 3. Superb wine list with Nigel's expert guidance. Yes, it is expensive but you have to experience this to believe it. The only problem is that the Burlington has set the bar so high that I feel I may not experience quality like this until I hopefully revisit next year. I am saving the pennies......sorry pounds.

i would recommend this place to anyone . its got a lovely atmosphere the staff are fantastic friendly lovely people . and the food is top class love it

Naseeb has always given excellent service. only once they were late for delivery and that's it. made it a point to give spot on service each time there after . keep up the good work

Prashad vegetarian restaurant in Bradford: Fresh, delicious, ,beautifully presented; Gujarati cuisine is the best in India! Also like the friendly,personal service (have been eating here for over 20 years).

if you want English cuisine, forget it unless you like chicken nuggets or salad, i phoned to ask if they did steak, not on the menu? partner wont eat spicy

Good, well priced pub food. Great selection of ales and friendly family atmosphere. Away from student crowds.

10 of us ate at Prashad last night - the service was fantastic and the food ... Well what can I say ?. We are not normally such a quiet bunch but once the food arrived we sat there with big grins on our faces as we tucked in to sublime veg thalis - a delicious selection of the tastiest curries, daals, roti and rice. All washed down by lovely smooth lassi. We WILL be back !! Well done Prashad !

The family at Prashad richly deserve the success experienced on television recently - even the usually aggressive Gordon Ramsey appeared moved at how much their love for each other and their love for creating beautiful food has lead to their success. I heartily recommend this restaurant - the food is always a wonderful combination of sense awakening flavours, creativity and passion .... enjoy!

the food is spot on.I travel to bradford just for kasmir curry.The Roti is the best i have eaten and i have eat in loads of Indians.I agree with one previous comment the food is slightly better cooked for some strange reason when you sit downstairs.I still LOVE it.

Absolutely tasty food, The staff are both polite and friendly, We had the mixed Platter for starters which gave you a taste of 5 or 6 different starters and it was full of flavour. Will be visiting again soon !!!

During a trip to York last week (from Bucks) we did a detour to Bradford specifically to have lunch at Prashad and boy, are we glad we did! At the time we didn't know it was in Ramsays Best Restaurant competition, but that accolade was totally deserved and it has to be the best Indian meal we have had to date, bar none! The service and quality of food was excellent and if you go, make sure you have the Pethis (spiced coconut and potato balls) and the special Chaat.. they were both divine. Well done Prashad and keep up the excellent work. Oh and of course, good luck in the semi final, we will be rooting for you!

The friendliest staff....and the tastiest food ever !! Well worth travelling from Lincoln to eat there! Thank you so much for a lovely night out.

We saw your programme yesterday on Gordon Ramsey and it was amazing, the bond between the family was great and it shows that love and unity can prosper the business. Congratulations on the result in last nights Ramsey programme. Well done to you all. I enjoyed my nieces wedding lunch with you on 1st May this year and it was wonderful. Good luck for the next round.
