Recently visited the Kaye arms after a recommendation from a work colleague to try it out. What he didn't say was how good the food was, I had the Scallops followed by a very nice Lobster Therador [ haven't seen that in years] while my wife had the french onion soup followed by the seabass on med veg, all very nicely presented and tasty. We didnt book but were attentively seen to and advised of a waiting time, only 15 mins on the night we were there and had a drink at the bar followed by a bottle off the massive wine list, at this point I asked for some guidance and was asked to try the wine before I bought it, !! thats never happened before. A Really nice meal served with professionalism and inclusion made a final bill a pleasure to pay. Would recommend it to anyone.

I love this place. It's friendly and the food is superb. I visit every time I come up to Scarborough.

While it does get a bit chaotic inside at times, the food here is always good, especially the honeycomb cheesecake which I love. Always worth a visit.

Lots of different curries. My wife, cousin and I tried three between us and all were simply too hot. A chicken rogan shouldn't have lots of chillies should it?! No Kingfisher beer.

We have been customers at Mamma Mia for many years we have taken our children, now grown up,you are always welcome.In all the years we have gone we have never had a poor meal.It is a family business and families are more than welcome.If you have a birthday or other celebration,Brian one of the waiters will lead the singing and all the staff join and you get a special cocktail.It is the best restaurant in the city centre,I highly recommend it,give it a try.

One of the best restaurants around, extremely friendly and lovely food, have been a regular for 8+ years and will continue to be my fav restaurant.

Ate here for valentines 08 after their refurbishment. The original house is a stunning building. The interior was OK but a little uninspiring, after been closed for so long I expected something a little more ...wow? The food was absolutely divine, very lightly cooked, nothing heavy. The onion bhajis are the best Ive EVER had - I ate far more than one person should!!! This just about made up for the fact we were seated right next to the kitchen and had to put up with waiters whizzing past the table every 10 seconds which became incredibly annoying. Prices are excellent and I would definitely recommend this restaurant (and the pub next door for a drink before or/and after!)and would eat there again (but I will ask to be seated away from the kitchen (upstairs looked much cosier!)

Not impressed with this place. The food was all pre-made heated up stuff and the acoustics in the place are dreadful the noise bounces round the room of everyones chatter so it is impossible to have a conversation with anyone except the person next to you. OK I s'pose if your quite drunk and just want a quick burger in the warm before heading home, but wouldnt recommend it for a night out. Oh, nearly forgot, one of our party found a 'foreign body' in her food! Which has definitely put her off for life, the management didnt seem very apologetic either,which I think disgusted her even more.

Really good customer service and friendly staff.We took our own tinnies in and they kept them cold for us by putting them in the Freezer.I recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala, lot's of fresh coriander and tomatoes.Will definitely be going again soon.

the food and service is 100% we travel over 20 miles to get to the bridge and its worth every penny very relaxing.looking forward to the next time im sure i can think of a reason to go.ps we had our wedding there in sept 07 and it was all wonderful.karen loftus-sharp

The presentation was nice but the food did not match. Overall very disappointed, not one to go back to. I would give it a star rating of 1 out of 5

Friends had given good reports from a while back, and the feedback on Sugarvine sounded positive - so off we went to Amigos on 10th April. We were very disappointed. The tapas we ordered were just average, certainly nothing special (eg shop bought tomato sauce on the patatas bravas) but the bill was far too expensive for an average meal (including over £7 for just two - yes, two - scallops). We had 2 G&Ts, 1 £16 bottle of wine and 7 tapas, which came to over £71 - all for a decidedly average meal. Oh - and the bread and small bowl of olives we were offered when we first arrived bumped the bill up by another £5 or so (it really bugs me when restaurants try to make extra money by charging you for items without making it clear up front). What a shame, we'd really hoped for better.

10/10 Had a meal on Sunday with the family and the food was lovely, service was great and its a cracking pub. Huge car park and colouring books for the kids so we could all enjoy our meal. Going again Friday tea time and cant wait.

Not impressed! My husband booked 3 days in advance to get a 9pm Sat booking for a birthday meal for 2. However, on arrival were told that because a large party (who hadn't booked in)were late eating their meal they couldn't accommodate us - no phone call to cancel or anything. Called manager as staff suggested, to be offerred a free bottle of wine -I DON"T THINK SO!!! So, book if you don't mind risk of cancellation because larger parties take priority here!!!!

Terrible!! I never really expected a lot from Wagamama's, but after a depressing meal at this awful establishment, I feel that I must inform other innocent victims not to go there! I am a fan of fresh food and if you are don't bother entertaining the thought of frequenting this place. I ordered the ginger chicken udon noodles, the meat was obviously second cuts and really un edible. I recommend that you go to Tampopo or Fuji hiro they are both far better than Wagamama's could ever hope of being.

Spent a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable Sunday morning at the Frenchgate.....'fabulous Hot Chocolate (the best we've ever tasted!!)and beautiful surroundings, not to mention our attentive host, David......Thank you, we'll definitely be back soon.

Pretty much the standard chain restaurant. Good food, nice atmosphere, best for parties or when dining with teenagers. Good choice of food, not the cheapest but not expensive either.

Last night nine of us went to Dick Hudson's for an evening meal.We bought drinks and went to sit at the table.After we had ordered our food we were then told there was going to be a 40 minute wait.It was about 90 minutes when we finally were told that our meals were about to be plated and wouldn't be long. When the meals eventually came it looked as though some of them had been kept warm somewhere and were dried up. The corn fed chicken wasn't cooked and the meat was pink in the middle and the swordfish had been overcooked and was tough and chewy.Two meals were sent back so the others had all finished eating by the time the meals came back and again the swordfish was tough and chewy and the chicken undercooked and inedible.We got an apology from the waitress even though it wasn't her fault but we won't be going back there in a hurry.
