The Ford Inn – HolmfirthIve been dining here for 14 years. The best curry house around. Cheap is not the word. Inexpensive value for money, yes. Ideal for people who cant be bothered with all the fake, nice ,hello sir nonsence. Order. get quickly. scoff, leave happy and not annoyed. The food speaks for itself.
Rajpoot Restaurant – ShipleyWe went to this pub for a bar meal in the week and it is placed in the most beautiful setting. Although waiting approx 30 mins for our starter, when it came we were nicely surprised it was very good and all fresh produce, unfortunately we had to wait a further 30 minutes for a main course which was not as successful as the starter. However, it is obvious the chef has a talent but more obvious a huge passion for food, I just hope he/she is able to turn it around and produce meals to the same standard as the starter and within sufficient time scales. Good luck!!
Kings Arms – WakefieldTwo dips missing on the appetisers but washed out on the mains - they were so watery and bland I had to get the Missus to reduce them in frying pans. A very strange looking and tasting yellow sticky substance on the grilled prawns - first time I went it was provincial but OK. This time couldn't stomach it. Daylight robbery in view of the fact they advertise prices on their website but charge more. Why is it I always have to drive to Leeds or Manchester to get a real food fix. Come on you Guys wake up and shake up or get out. You ruined my night.
Thai Sakon Restaurant – HuddersfieldI know that many people when asked to name an Italian restaurant in Bradford city centre would instantly name the one in the Bradford’s West End tucked in between the kebab shops, bars and curry houses - which is endlessly packed out with diners too lazy to explore further afield - but if you walk just another five minutes into town you’ll be heartily rewarded by coming across Mamma Mias on Upper Piccadilly. I ended up in Mamma Mia’s on a weekday evening and was bowled over at how brilliant it was. Delicious food, excellent ambience, and fantastic wine list. It’s a great place to take a large group of friends for some fantastic unpretentious dining - but also I would recommend it for romantic evenings with that special someone. Would thoroughly recommend the pizzas - with authentic toppings and deliciously fresh and thin bases - a true Italian experience. I would recommend this restaurant in a second - and will definitely go back!
Mamma Mia – BradfordThis restaurant was very enjoyable the all you can eat buffet was superb value for money and the quality & variety of the meals was excellent would def visit again.
Mashriq – BradfordAte here last night, it was a bit of a disappointment. The starters were lovely (prawn cocktail and garlic mushrooms) however, the pizza was not fresh or home made and was definitely frozen. The pizza was a perfect round shape and had marking on the base. The tortilla was also bought in. This is not what I expected of an Italian and after reading other peoples reviews did not expect this. We will definitely not dine here again!
Valentinos Italian Restaurant – WakefieldI went to Zouk last week and all i can say is whats all the hype about the service was not soo good and the food was average. One of the waiter in particular looked like the owner would not stop looking over at our table when eatng what was kind of intimidating. Go to Akbars instead better food better money!!
Zouk Tea Bar – BradfordFantastic place in a beautiful setting with a great atmosphere. The food was fantastic and we will definitely be going again soon. This is the Barnsley equivalent of the Three Houses in Wakefield... if only there were more little gems like this.
Spencer Arms – BarnsleyWe visited this restaurant on a busy Saturday night and had a wonderful evening. The food was superb and the service excellent. We were looked after by the owner's charming and extremely polite nephew who made us feel like VIPs. It was our first vist but we'll definitely be back.
Nawaab Khan – RoundhayWe chose Zaara's based on the Sugarvine recommendation as we were passing through Bradford and wanted to be sure of a quality curry. We were not disappointed:every aspect of our experience was of an equally high standard. Each dish had an individual character and was tender, well flavoured and fragrant. The service was excellent:good attention to detail yet maintaining an informal ambience, complemented by the stylish and contemporary decor. We were travelling with a 4 year old who was made equally welcome. Our son loves curry but there are English items on the menu for the less adventurous. The only area that needs more attention is the dessert menu which, in keeping with most Indian restaurants, is rather limited. However, Zaara's was also excellent value so we we will probably make a detour to Bradford just to eat there again!
Zaara’s – Shipleythe very best in Italian dinning. fantastic staff, food out of this world.5stars.
Mezzaluna Ristorante – BarnsleyThe food is more than good!!! Staff are friendly and helpful. The early bird menu is the best in town. Its the best french restaurant in Leeds!!
Sous Le Nez En Ville – Leeds City CentreThis was highly recommended to me by friends and I was not let down. The restaurant is only small so we were lucky to make a reservation as it was fully booked by around 1130. We arrived early which gave us chance to view the wine list in the comfortable waiting area. We were seated within five minutes before our actual reservation time. When seated we were given short but specific details of the specials board, how fresh the main ingredients were and where they came from. My partner and I both ate starter and main courses off the specials board although the main menu looked both original and appealing too. All the food seemed fresh, local produce prepared on the premises. The staff were all well presented and knowledgeable about the food and wine. I found the atmosphere very relaxing and comfortable and the service was excellent throughout the night. After fantastic food, wine and service I would rate my experience of this restaurant very highly and will certainly return in the future.
Ate O Clock – Yorkgreat food with lots to choose from, staff are always there when you need them. best in the world
