Crown and Anchor, The – BarnsleyAn absolute gem of a restaurant. We have been many times and always enjoyed both the meals and atmosphere. The staff are warm and friendly, service is quick. They are also quite willing to change dishes to suit your tastes.
Tams Cantonese Cuisine – KeighleyExcellent food 7 days a week, good value for money, good atmosphere. Can get crowded
The Three Horseshoes – WakefieldWe regularly have a take away delivered from the Balti House which is always lovely. Best curry we have ever had. Thank you
Balti House – WakefieldI can't tell you how disappointed I am after following the recommendations on Sugarvine written by others for the Rose & Crown. The pub was dreadful... well I say pub, it felt more like a restaurant... The food was not much better and the staff acted like children giggling at every opportunity. Like I say disappointed.
Rose and Crown – YorkAfter living in the Harrogate area for now close to 20 years, I have tried every pub/restaurant in the area for Sunday lunch. Now having found the Tiger Inn I need look no more. The food was exquisite. My fishcakes actually had fish in them, amazing considering some of the areas best places rarely get this right. My lamb was so tender and tasty, whilst my husband couldn't stop talking about his beef (best he's ever had apparently!). Portions were good and we couldn't fit a dessert in but the table behind us were raving about their cheesecake and apple crumble. The staff were polite and gracious, the landlord was surprisingly young but obviously knowledgeable. The food was well priced and good value for money, the wine list was interesting and surprisingly cheap when compared to other places. If I had one complaint it was that the place was so busy we couldn't get to the bar at the beginning. Besides that, I booked a table for my entire family on Mother's Day before we left. I can't wait!
Tiger Inn – HarrogateRailway has the lot now with a reasonable pint of good draught beer to wash down the excellent cuisine ..been a regular over many years and yet to experience poor service, meals, all at excellent cost. Keep up the good work Sue and Staff.
Railway Inn – HullWe have just had an excellent Sunday lunch at the Old Station Inn, which we thoroughly enjoyed and will certainly go back again. As soon as you walked through the door you were made to feel so welcome. The pub itself is a delight, the staff couldn't have been more friendlier, the drinks were spot on and the food was superb. Everything on the menu was homemade and good value for money. Thank you for such an enjoyable lunch time.
The Station Hotel – HarrogateIn many years of travelling all over the world and eating in many "authentic" restaurants it is rare to fins a Thai restaurant that hits the spot with authenticity and fine food. In this restaurant we find that rarity gastronomic perfection. Yes its busy yes its noisy and yes you have to book, but what do you expect? The starters, main courses and desserts were equally superb but for me the jasmine rice wrapped in the leaf was the closest I have ever come to gastronomic nirvana! The staff are quiet attentive interested and efficient, its slightly cramped but again no surprise there. The price was good for the quality and selection we had! You must go, I confess to coming from Essex to Leeds for it.
Sukhothai Restaurant – Headingley – HeadingleyAs a tender 17 year old i have been lucky to have had the pleasure of eating cuisine from around the world. Mexican in Mexico, Brazilian barbecues and some of the finest curry, but no where, of all these places in the world, have I found a place quite like Aldo's. My family have been going for 20+ years and as long as I can remember I have been entertained by the owner Pino, who provides more of a friendship than service. In all the restaurants I go to, the topic always seems to be, Aldo's has a better this, a better that and never does anywhere live up to the atmosphere at the place. Not even in Italy. Loud Music, Singing Waiters, Fabulous, amazing food and a welcome to all ages just make this place perfect. Pino and the Aldo's Team, thank you very very much for the special times over the past years and I look forward to the future times at your 'Pizzeria'. My only regret is that all the family got a kiss from the waitress and I didn't!!!!! Grazie
Aldo’s Pizzeria – CleckheatonExcellent food and service in a lovely relaxed atmosphere, can't wait to go again.
Nawaab – HuddersfieldFood excellent atmosphere (if you like Elvis this is the place to go) about time Elvis left the building. Complements to the chefs.
Owston Park Lodge, The – DoncasterWhat a find! This was our first visit to Aldo's and we loved it; well worth the trip to Cleckheaton. It's a fun place to be with a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very friendly, the food was fantastic and we found the whole of the menu to be very good value for money. All in all, a great night out. We'll be back!
Aldo’s Pizzeria – CleckheatonI absolutely love this place!! Food is fantastic, service is even better!! Hopefully going there for my birthday soon!! I would recommend it to anyone - and quite often i do!!
Jani Indian Restaurant – DewsburyMy wife and I dined here on 18 January and the experience was as close to perfect as you could probably get. Many of the reviews on here refer to it being pricey, but you get what you pay for in life. I had the 10oz ribeye steak, my wife chose Barbary duck. Whilst people refer to a 'juicy steak' so often it's become a bit of a cliché, this one actually was! It was a fine example of how a steak ought to be cooked, and the aromas it produced had me salivating before the waiter got the plate to my table. The massively chunky chips were equally good; being both crisp on the outside with an almost candy floss like interior. We pushed the boat out with one of the fine wines and, although we were brought the cheaper version of the Rioja, our waiter had realised this and replaced it before we had chance to tell him. The desserts were just as sumptuous and it was refreshing not to have an overwhelming menu to choose from, though we still took some time to make up our minds. In conclusion: very polite and friendly staff, significantly higher that average food quality went to make up an excellent dining experience. Only (minor) criticism is the lighting which was slightly too low. KEEP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING, COWSHED!
Cow Shed Restaurant and Grill – WakefieldHey! from an American in the UK. I found Aldo's to be a welcome Italian oasis in the land UK curry. I sought out this Cleckheaton restaurant based on a recommendation from a UK colleague and for me it greatly exceeded my expectations. The menu choices were broad, the portions generous, and flavor exquisite, and the price good. If you are lucky enough to be there on a night when the owner, Pino, is around, you will also get an excellent Italian serenade with your meal. He has a real talent for putting a lady in the "Italian" mood. Thus the atmosphere is fun & relaxed. The best combination of food & atmosphere I've found in the UK. Don't let the "pizzeria" in the name fool you. Aldo's offers a full line of Italian food guaranteed to please everyone from vegetarian to meat lover. I attended with a large group (twice the same week I discovered it) and everyone was pleased with the wide variety and flavor. Take the time to talk w/Pino. He loves to tell, as well as hear, a good tale. Now I just need to find a way to "export" Pino and his Aldo's Italian restaurant to America!
Aldo’s Pizzeria – CleckheatonMy favourite restaurant! We often stay at the Travelodge next door and pop to Chaophraya the food is amazing and the restaurant is beautiful.
Chaophraya – Leeds City CentreAn ok evening but spoiled but over-pushy waiter.Chips were good but curry less so. Didn't know this place was in Hairhills. Sarah and Robert Marsah
