Great pub, good homemade food with lots of specialities, top restaurant food at pub prices, we usually go Thursday or Friday very happy friendly staff, we took friends sat night wont go again on Saturday as scruffy barman is rude like it was to much trouble to give you a table, luckily short blonde waitress was there she made our night, smashing place to eat just choose your nights .

My family and I went to this cosy Leeds pub on a Sunday afternoon after a stroll down the nearby Leeds / Liverpool canal. The outside of the pub has changed significantly since our last visit in that the pub has a fantastic heated outside smoking area, very continental in styling and a lovely place to sit and pass the afternoon. The interior is still olde worlde as I remember it from my last visit and is warm and inviting. The most pleasing change I noticed from my last visit is in the quality of welcome and service we received. Everyone is greeted like an old friend, with genuine old fashioned hospitality. The beer is fantastic, a minimum of 6 different cask ales from local breweries as well as a more than adequate selection of Malt whisky. The food is a joy to behold, hot, tasty and restaurant quality, with service to match. Oh and the home cooked desserts are to die for! Will definitely be back to this quirky but friendly public house in the very near future. Recommended to all!

great place, food and service tip top, but no decent coffee? why oh why would a good restaurant like this not sell espresso?

I have always had a passion for Authentic Asian food. Indeed I may make it my goal to eat my way through every Indian restaurant in town. A recent celebration served as a good excuse to hit the town in an edible manner. After reading about the sweet centre we decided to give it a try. The menu was Great. Not extensive but sufficient... Lots of choice and lots of dishes I hadn't heard of before. We each tried a new dish of medium spiciness and both were good size portions and tasted very good. Typically I preferred my fellow diners choice - why does that always happen?, i dont know. The Tarka Daal and the Lamb of the bone/Tikka Masala Is an experience of its own!!! Simply one of the finest Indian restaurants I have ever visited. The food is in my opinion sublime, the cost exceedingly cheap. If i was to pick out the bad points it would be that the mango lassi was too filling! which meant could not manage to eat much. The waiters were very friendly and attentive and we weren't kept waiting for any part of our meal. I would definitely visit again. A Must for authentic curry enthusiasts.

We visited the ate o'clock restaurant as a party of 5 adults and 2 children under 4. I have to say it was an excellent experience the staff were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome like we were the only guests there. The food was excellent the wine was nice and very well priced. EXCELLENT!!!

I've been there several times and always enjoyed it. Unfortunately I will not be going again after receiving extremely bad service on my last visit. The waiter was extremely rude to us, and it ruined our meal.

A great mix grill/surf 'n' turf. Gets very busy on sundays so be prepared to wait for your table. All in all quite good but they should do something about the STICKY TABLES.

We took my mother in law there last week for her 69th birthday, as an asian family there is not a lot you can tell us about curries, my husband and two children aged 19 and 16 really enjoyed the meal, however my in laws were not very impressed. I on the other hand have eaten from the main menu and buffet on previous occasions and find the food is getting better and better each time. Thanks Sahid for making the 'Kheer' everyone really enjoyed it. We shall be returning

This is a very well run pub restaurant. Service is top here, food is maybe a bit above the usual pub fayre - but it isn't cheap.

The Sunday lunchtime buffet is excellent with a very good selection of dishes. Will definitely be going again and again . The atmosphere is very comfortable and friendly.

This is by far the best curry house i know. And the fact it is on my door step is even better The food is amazing the service is excellent and i would highly recommend this place. Every visit is excellent and i am gob smacked if anyone does not rate this place. The Prawn shundora Golda is my favorite the staff are more than happy to make things that are not on the menu too. Keep up the good work Rice

We've lived through its many reincarnations but this one is definitely the best. We brought friends here who lived in India and even they raved about it.

We were made welcome on arrival, the service was calm and efficient, the ambience good. The food, from the chef's tit-bit of poached pear in balsamic to the desserts every thing was perfectly cooked and presented. The wine list was varied and not overpriced. The best restaurant experience we have had in many a year

Great Sunday meals!!! May be hard to get a seat, but well worth it. Value for money!:-)

Booked for our wedding anniversary having not ate there for 4 years, on the whole disappointed to say the least with my meal although my wifes was acceptable. As a main course I ordered the Rib Eye which was returned without compliment, should not have served it ! Staff seemed to have gone down hill and a mate of mine has described the cost as highway robbery which I would find an acceptable comment. Come on you can do better than that !!!!!

The best curry I've ever tasted. I am 40yrs old and I have had currys all around the world. Their currys are the best.

Food is ok (although no matter what type of curry you get they all seem to taste the same) and it's one of the cheapest restaurants I've ever been to (£78 for 13 of us!!!) but the service is horrendous. I've actually been back four or five times with friends purely to show them how bad it is - waiters literally throw plates of food onto the table, scowl at you at all times and seem to find it extraordinarily inconvenient that anyone would want to order food. A truly odd dining experience!
