Me and the wife dont get out that often with the kids still being young, so it when we do we want make sure we enjoy our evening. The Maharaja definitely doesn't disappoint, from the moment you arrive to when you leave you will experience a culinary delight. For those you expecting the usual suspects on an Indian menu think again as virtually all the menu is unrecognisable. But what does appear is delicately cooked and tastes magnificent. To top it all they also do takeaway now so we can now get our fix of the Maharaja more often. 5 out of 5.

Went for lunch on a Saturday. Surprisingly quiet (but it is holiday season). Menu was very good and portions just right for a lunchtime (don't expect a large lunch - but it's just right if you don't want to feel stuffed and not able to eat later!). The carbonara was outstanding. Only quibble was that the extras are quite expensive - £1.65 for a small glass of diet coke and £3, yes £3!!!, for a small bowl of skinny fries. It was our own fault, the waitress asked us if we wanted them to go with the meal and we said yes without checking the price. That put up the cost of the £6.95 lunch menu considerably. Finally - the hot chocolate is to die for!!!

Went to Kimos last night 09/07/07 and was blown away by the food - the best patatas bravas I've ever had and that includes from Spanish restaurants. The atmosphere is great as is the decor. If this place had a license I would never leave! This usually puts me off but wont let it in the future.

A real treat for Liverpool, quite different from anything else and the deli is a much needed addition to the city. Its easy to miss, even though in the centre of town, and doesn't seem to be that well known when talking to locals, but that’s adds to the feeling of delight when you do find it and realise you’ve discovered a gem. Then brag about it to your friends! Belly pork was excellent on my last trip, but neither myself nor my friends have ever complained about any of the food or drink here, its all good. Particularly love the banquettes, which give a feeling of intimacy and privacy lost in many modern restaurants where you're made to sit cheek by jowl to everyone else. Good service too.

We went to Mayur in its opening week and the first thing that struck me was its opulent decor. It has a chic but relaxed atmosphere and my friends and I had a really enjoyable night. This is a really well designed restaurant with attentive staff, excellent service and exceptional food. I'm not usually a big fan of Indian cuisine but this is not your average Indian restaurant! My husband (a self proclaimed Indian cuisine connoisseur) thought the restaurant was great and I thought the food was well presented and very tasty. I would definitely recommend a visit to see for yourselves!

Good food at very reasonable price, menu small but varied with something for everyone. In fact I intend to try and get through all the choices on the menu eventually as they all looked so interesting. I went for the first time last week on a visit to Liverpool and have already booked again for this weekend.

Eaten here a few times - had a few drinks with the owner - very pleasant - close to home and in summer walking back is fun. Once swapped a tray of beans for a bottle of wine! Noise from the function room can spoil the restaurant ambience if there's a wedding on. Having said that, we've enjoyed eating at Hollings Hey everytime we've been.

Sapporo is the number 1 place to eat in Liverpool. The time you spend there is enjoyable from start to finish, whether you are in a group or just a couple you will have a fun night. The food is amazing and the staff are very polite. If you have not yet tried it you are missing out!!

I was very surprised to find out that this is part of a chain - because the food was very very good. The menu has a great choice, from small snacks to more substantial dishes. I had a pancake filled with smoked haddock and baked in a white sauce and cheese, which was very tasty, my boyfriend went for a chicken salad - sounds boring but it wasn't. It had a nice selection of really green leaves, meaty chunks of chicken and loads of good blue cheese. The prices can seem a bit dear, but after tasting the food I think it was worth every penny. We had decent wine, and the service was good, helpful but not in your face. The restaurant itself is decked out like a Parisian cafe - and a very convincing effort it is. I definitely recommend this place.

I have visited this restaurant regularly over the last few years and have always found the food, service and pricing to be of an excellent standard. This is a restaurant that I would certainly recommend to visitors to the city - it is a place where they can enjoy delicious Chinese food in the heart of Liverpool's China Town.

Have been here four or five times now and the food is always tasty, fresh and packed with flavour. The menu has a good choice with sandwiches and soups to hearty hot main meals. Have recommended to all my friends, and the deli is great also, Liverpool was in dire need of somewhere like this.
