Eastern Diner – Mossley HillI can only echo the other comments here. I went here for the first time yesterday, for a late Sunday lunch, and will certainly be back again. Wonderfully cool, fresh interior (compared with the hot, sticky, humid air outside), superb service and food which simply could not be faulted. A gem of a place!
Esteban Mediterranean Tapas – AigburthIt's difficult to rate the "ambience" of this place, because if it was any other restaurant it could only be described as rubbish. But it isn't any other restaurant, it's the Ma Bo, and there's nowhere else like it. Sit towards the back, and look out of the window, past the elderly Chinese lady preparing the ducks, and you'd swear you were in a cafe in Shanghai, not least because a lot of the customers are ethnic Chinese (which speaks for itself). The food is unsurpassed in any Chinese restaurant I have visited - have a go at the roast duck, it's serious "melt in the mouth" stuff.
Ma Bo Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreMy husband and I have been to this restaurant many times and the quality of food and service is always good. It's not very large but the atmosphere is very cosy.
Ristorante Italia – HeswallIt was a wonderful experiance
Mamma Mia Pizzeria – SouthportThis is seriousy good food - and wine - and fabulous value for money. I've now eaten there twice - the first time was outstanding, the second better. Great imagination in the combinations of flavours (scallops with fennel; lamb with Earl grey jelly...); extraordinary care in the sheer cooking. Wish I could do half as well! This is the best I've come across in Merseyside, by far. This wonderful restaurant is worth travelling to (I expect to run in to Paul Heathcote here, checking it ou!)- the asparagus salad with truffle (real slices!) worth selling the family silver/grandma for! The intensvely sweet puddings (and the glass of Maury with it) astounding (& I haven't a sweet tooth). I'm saving up for the next visit ! Fabulous. BTW I don't know who the chef is and I have no connection with the place - other than as an enthusiastic customer
Fraiche Restaurant – OxtonLiverpool City Centre has been crying out for a first class restaurant such as Piccolino. I visited on a Friday lunch time and there was a real buzz in the dining room. The staff were very attentive especially to my 2 year old son but in no way intrusive. The food was fabulous. I chose Asparagus & pecorino to start, the asparagus was beautifully crisp. My Husband opted for the chicken livers - which were to die for. For our main course I chose the calves liver with onions and my husband the crispy duck - both devoured, very impressed. As for our son he had a wild mushroom risotto, we thought we may get an equal share of that - no such luck, Lewis ate the lot! Highly recommended.
Piccolino – Liverpool City CentreI was very pleased with the restaurant the lamb shank is absolutley beauiful with gravy and mince sauce.
The Manor – GreasbyThis is a fantastic night out. Try it!
Sapporo Teppanyaki Liverpool – Liverpool City CentreDined here last night as a couple. our young waiter with a blonde stripe was very courteous and polite. he waited on us all night and seemed like a really friendly guy. i had pate and lamb and my wife had prawn cocktail and an unimpressive ribeye which was quite fatty. we asked the waiter if there was anything he could do and he sorted out this minor problem. we were entertained by two delightful female singers all night and really enjoyed ourselves. great service and a nice place overall
Jalons – WavertreeI think the food in master chef restaurant is very nice, my advice to you is to try it for yourself becuse as they say you`ve tried the rest now go and try the best
Master Chef Tandoori Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreMirroring what other people have said - the views are pretty good and the restaurant v. nice. But you can't help but feel uncomfortable with some of the clientele. Yeah that sounds stuck up, but when I'm paying £30/each for dinner I don't want to be sat near to a couple of scallies who have fallen into some money :-) But, I would recommend this place for dim sum any day - it's superb. Just go before 3pm!
Chung Ku – Liverpool City CentreBetter than normal mass produced pub food executed well, with some really good stuff on the menu. It's an Out&Out menu. Not bad value at all.
Glegg Arms and Beefeater Restaurant – HeswallFantastic food, fantastic wine, great service. Only slightly let down by the very echoey room - it's quite noisey when full! Try and get a window seat for a truly romantic evening. Top stuff.
60 Hope Street – Liverpool City CentreI dined here last thursday from about 6.45pm, just enough time to take advantage of the early menu. The purpose of our visit was to introduce my dad and sister to the world of tapas. They thoroughly enjoyed it although they couldnt get over not having the food on the one plate from the start!! The restaurant was nearly full and the service was good. We enjoyed it that much we indulged in desserts and liquer coffees. The bill was just on £68 incl drinks, dessert each, and two liquer coffees. Definitely worth the visit, go!
Esteban Mediterranean Tapas – AigburthDined here last night as a party of 6. We were served by an austrailian waitress, she was really friendly, helpful and recommended us further choices. The restaurant was full, there were no empty tables. The pianoist added to the ambience and the new-look restaurant inside looked fab! Although the leather seats did make you feel a bit sweaty after a while but were also too comfy to leave at the end of the night. We were all very impressed with our meals and the desserts were delicious, the chocolate fudge cake was unusual, not what I was expecting but I dont think anything could have tasted as nice. With a few bottles of wine to wash the food down, an excellent evening was had by all. If you havent tried this restaurant yet, why? Make a visit tonight but to avoid disappointment book first!
Jalons – WavertreeBeautiful inside, caring staff and a buzzy informal atmosphere that is addictive. I reallly can't say more. You really will be missing out if you don't go at least once. Thanks for a great Sat night to you all - especially Donna our waitress.
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreWithout a doubt the best restaurant on Lark Lane and definitely the best Tapas bar in Liverpool. The food is delicious, the staff are pleasant and child friendly. The service is perfect and everybody is given 100 % attention.
