AMAZING - if you do not consider a 2 course lunchtime menu for £7 a head a bargain then you need a brain transplant. Fresh delicious food - great service Lovely People . Visited last night for the first time for our first wedding anniversary, wow what a find from the moment we walked through the door we realised we had found somewhere special! Desi lounge staff make you feel welcome without, the attention to detail is exceptionally good. Cutlery would could see your face in and beautiful ornate silver serving terrines. Immediately we sat down warm poppadoms and a selection of dips where brought to the table. After this we had opportunity to look through the vast and I mean vast menu. Each meal is cooked to individual specifications and we were told the chef would make dishes either milder or hotter than on the menu. My husband went for Lamb chops for starter and I had the Prawn Puri, both were exquisite! For main course we both opted for the Desi Special a chicken dish cooked in cream and served with pilau rice! We then had a peshwari nan which is an absolute must between us! We have found the best indian restaurant in the North West! We have visited many but look forward to our next visit really soon! I have been a valued customer to Shocat and hos team for over 20 years and where every he moves to, then i shall follow, his menu is so special and covers many varieties, to a high standard, his overall delivery is outstanding and goes out of his way to please.If you want to have a curry with a difference, then go here for a meal.......thank you Desi Lounge for all my lovely meals you have provide for myself and family.

This is the best restaurant in china town. The shanghai pork chop is to die for.Always friendly and knowledgeable staff and great wine list .

22/10/2011 Eh! what do you get when you have about 70 young people, drinking legally with ID, bar staff who are flexible and polite , thanks Louise. Sensitive door staff and helpful owner. Tasty warm food which kept on coming out of the kitchen for ages and the most entertaining DJ in Vinny you could wish to have at your party . The answer; an absolutley fantastic, enjoyable night. Well done Mint Bar Chrolton a magnificent effort .

The many times I have been,I have not been disappointed;lunch was excellent,as was dinner,but Sunday lunch was exquisite.Fresh,local fare of the best quality,friendliest of staff,and a yorkshire pudding to die for.I cannot recommend highly enough.

Very delicious and authentic Japanese food. Friendly Staff and good prices. It was worth it just to have agedashi tofu ! I would highly recommend this restaurant

I attended the wine tasting last Wednesday the wine was awesome and the food was fabulous especially the caramelised pears with parma ham.! I would recommend it to everyone!

Really lives up to it's name - my meal was A Shocker. I ordered the special starter (mixed tikka everything) as a main course at a £3-50 supplement (£9.45) which was described as a delight and served on a sizzler. It arrived on a cold plate without the Tikka Lamb. I queried it and was told it didn't come on a sizzler and didn't have lamb. It was still starter size as well. Eventually they agreed to give me lamb as it said on the menu, but it arrived 15 minutes later by which time all the rest was cold. They warmed the rest up for me in a microwave - including the salad !! Avoid

What a pleasant surprise. I'd heard that the sottovento was Ok but very expensive. To my delight the food was more Ok it was great & the price very reasonable. Decor very nice,comfortable & warm. Nice bar area with seating. Bar prices reasonable for a restaurant. Staff attentive & friendly. The owner is a very welcoming & warm guy. Thanks Hakan & staff for a great experiance. See you soon. They also do cabaret nights £ courses £22=95.

Great food, great service. The best tapas restaurant I have been to in Manchester, La Torre has a nice laid back, very authentic Spanish atmosphere. Great value for money too!!

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal and time here, last week with some of my friends. The food was excellent and tasty. The service was efficient and friendly. The general atmosphere here was pleasant and vibrant. I would recommend people to try it out.

Kitkat, I am very sorry to hear that you found our vegetarian selection to be limited. As you mention, we do only have one vegetarian option (all courses) on our MARKET SPECIALS MENU, but to be fair, there's only one meat option and one fish option too. We do, however, change this menu weekly so as to keep it fresh and exciting as well as great value for money. We also have many vegetarian options available on our A LA CARTE which is available alongside our MARKET MENU. We pride ourselves on providing for those with dietary requirements, such as coeliacs and vegetarians and thus, prefer to freshly prepare everything on-site so we know exactly what goes in to our dishes. Unfortunately, this also means that we can not offer endless menu options. Again, I am really sorry if we were not to your liking, but i hope i provided an explanation
