I would just like to express my disappointment with my visit to Haigh Hall today. I have a labrador and the cafe was unable to provide a bowl of any kind for me to put water in for my dog to have a drink on such a hot day! Staff were very apologetic and explained that this was the rules. They said it was due to littering?? I do not understand why a dog bowl filled with water can not be put outside? How is this littering? I had to resort to a man giving me the lid to his chips and me walking through the cafe and filling it up in a sink outside! Every place I have visited like this have just had a bowl of water outside, why is it such a problem at haigh hall? Very disappointed and embarrassed about the situation I had to go through!!! I hope this issue will be looked at and resolved, especially when this is a place where dogs are walked day in day out. Please could someone respond to my complaint and give me an explanation or a resolution. Thank you

Hello I have recently ordered a chicken kebab I thought the £5.99 was a little steep but felt assured it would be worth the money. When it arrived it was in a very hard small pitta bread and side salad , the chicken was a touch too spicy and around 7 pieces so for £5.99 I would have gone two doors up and got a curry for less which would have been more substantial and both tasty and worth the money . I won't be returning to italianos again !

Called in purely by chance and stayed all evening. Landlord/lady very sociable and introduced me to the regulars, made me feel very much at home. I will definitely visit again when in the area. Definitely.

This restaurant has been the only and best indian restaurant for nearly 30 years now. Food was spot on for this family run business and has recently decorated to meet the changing world as the most modern restaurant around in Manchester. Food was excellent and the service/ staff are attentive, plus they have a sense of humour .

Called in one Saturday night after being recommended by a friend only too see my old work colleague leeroy from 12 years ago. Top guy and amazing Caribbean food the chicken (fried and jerk )too die for. Get on down to nice and tasty for quality and quantity at low prices best Caribbean place by far !!!!!!!!!

This venue is very disappointing. The service is appalling and the food is very mediocre. A small dispute over the bill lead to the owner of the restaurant shouting abuse and swearing loudly in the middle of a relatively busy restaurant issuing threats and calling the police (who took my side much to his frustration), in spite of my own calm and polite approach to the matter. It was embarrassing and something i have never expect from a restaurant. It ruined my evening and made other customers feel very uncomfortable. To add insult to injury, the food itself is also of lower quality than its competitors nearby. I strong word of advice - AVOID!

If you haven't tried The Stables, you don't know what you are missing. The food is absolutely heavenly, the best for at least 5 miles around. A real cosy atmosphere and friendly staff make this restaurant a little gem in Gee Cross village.

I was very pleased with the food at the Royal Oak. I took my mother and father in law out for tea, they were well impressed.

Fresh food chef-prepared (less cost than the usual bland portion-controlled pub food) daily specials, outside seating with toddler-proof fencing, dog friendly, clean with a welcoming, traditional atmosphere. Real ales at W*therspoons prices during the day. Takes me back to the pub Golden Age!

We ate at Amaya last month after receiving numerous recommendations. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a familiar face - as the co-owner also has a share in Silsila in Cheadle Hulme (one of our favourite indian restaurants). We immediately knew the food would be great. Book a table you won't be disappointed!

I am appauled at the lack of professionalism with this company. We met to discuss menus for my wedding, and after an hour of discussing things, he left saying that he would email a quote within 2 days and no later. After a week of nothing I emailed asking when the quote would be ready. His PA replied saying he's very busy & is sure he'd get back to me soon. A week after that, still nothing. I emailed again; nothing. I was quiet clear that we didn't have a large budget so perhaps they decided that we weren't worth their custom. Very disappointed. I also had some of their food at a friends wedding a month again and it was very average - definitely not worth the prices they are charging.

This was our first experience here. We were using a groupon voucher which stated that champers cocktails were included, there was no choice, it was a simple buck fizz, very disappointing. The chateaubriand was delicious, can not fault that but not once in the time we were eating did anyone come and ask if everything was ok with the meal and even when collecting the plates not even a smile or word from the waitress was evident. We were sat right in front of bar where we listened to drinkers swearing and speaking loudly due to the amount they had drank, and that came from their mouth not mine. When finally asking for the bills was astonished to see that they had charged a gratuity of £11 which was inapropriate

Really enjoyed Ciao Baby on a Thurs evening - Antoine made us very welcome for my sons 15th birthday. Didnt enjoy the previous named Baroccos. This restaurant has been re organised and redecorated to a very high standard, sectioned into beautiful private areas yet still part of a great atmosphere. And the food wasnt bad either!!! Would highly recommend.

Superb food at good prices. Incredibly tasty. Takeaway service works very well too. We tend to have about 6 or 7 starters to share instead of a main. Lebanese tapas!

I have been to Tapios on many occassions both for food and to enjoy the ambience and entertainment , especially on a Friday night. I am off there again next Friday with a group of friends , for food and drink. local and friendly with meditteranean surroundings, you can almost imagine you are in warmer climes . :-0

My wife and I have visited this establishment several times over the past 15 years,as "The Ridgeway" we always ate well and often took my elderly mother who also enjoyed both the food and the ambience. Under the new name and management,she would have wanted to live there. The whole hotel is clean and comfortable,the bowling green is well maintained and the service is EXCELLENT,(please ignore the spoilers elsewhere on these pages, the food is perfectly cooked,beautifully presented truly value for money. No we did not go for the cheapest nor the most expensive,just mid range,I can assure you that this place is not only worth a visit, but a return visit and further visits to follow.. We have no vested interests in this establishment,but I just felt that the negative comments should be repudiated. Incidentally,the person who was "refused"forgot to say that the man who did so was "foreign" and to him and all the staff I can only say mille grazzi.
