We went to Alberts Shed for the first and last time last night. The food was lovely, but the service was poor beyond belief. The mains were brought to the table before we'd had time to finish our starters and then we had to wait an hour for the dessert to arrive having been told that our order had been lost. Plus no one came and offered more drinks at all. We were really disapointed after reading so many good reviews. It was a busy Saturday night but that should be no excuse for poor service. Thankfully the dessert was removed from the bill as we had waited so long. Certainly won't be going back.

Had a meal there Saturday 29 September. Only complaint is that of service. The meal took over 40 minutes from being order to be served. And it wasn't a particular busy night. The quality of the meal was very good. The decor excellent. But it did spoil the experience.

I cannot believe that the previous reviews for this restaurant are for the same place that I ate last night. Starters were not fresh & obviously cooked from frozen. We had to wait 40 minutes inbetween our starters & mains. We asked for more drinks which we never received & when we got our mains they were pretty tasteless. The restaurant wasn't busy so no excuse for service this poor. There are far superior restaurants in China Town, Red Chilli being one. Going to Happy Seasons was like going back in time 15 years, not a happy experience.

Decide to try out this restaurant with their lunch deal - 3 courses for £8.95. Service was friendly and quite efficient but we found the food rather mediocre. The caprese salad was swimming in oil and the mozerella was rubbery and tasteless. Pizzas were disappointingly average and over-seasoned, and the profiteroles for dessert were unpleasant hsving a "cheesy" taste. To top it all, the piped music was awful. Sorry Mezzaluna but we won't be returning - there are too many better restaurants in Chorlton.

Me and my friends were very happy. Very good food at reasonable price. Medium Lamb, Vindaloo chicken and butter chicken was what we ordered. The owner gave us 15% discount for student too. We will definitely come back again

Just to let people know that Greens is no longer bring your own. I was quite embarassed to arrive with a bottle of wine only to be told they no longer offered this service. The food however, is always spot on and the service friendly without being overbearing. Not being able to bring your own has affected the price however. This is a great restaurant, however I do feel they should inform customers on the phone whilst booking that you can no longer bring your own wine. It saves the staff and customers embarrassment

The whole feel to the place was great but the food was overpriced and awful to start the garlic bread was dry and burnt i payed over £5 for five small scallops (overcooked and under seasoned) and a scrap of bacon and a gallon of olive oil errr the main course chicken and king prawns was tasteless the steak dianne was boring and the choc pudding tasted of plastic and they charged me £75 for the honour!!!! ps silver service is old is outdated

This is a delightful restaurant. The food is excellent - fresh and tasty, and the service friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it as somewhere different and original.

I have been there a couple of times, i have found the food to be excellent, there is a service with a smile, and you feel relaxed everytime you go there

I have written a previous report on this establishment, so I feel have have some sort of right to have this report published. My wife and I were deeply disappointed in our last visit to the High Moor. The wait, between first and main course, was close to an hour which is totally unacceptable. When the main did arrive, my choice, the rack of lamb, was so over-cooked it was verging on burnt. The lady Maitre De asked us at the end of the meal if we had enjoyed it and in unison we both said no! This venue we use for our wedding anniversary and this was our 23rd. We have been visiting the High Moor for many of those 23 and have also brought, and recommended, the High Moor to friends and family. Unless they get their act together, Simon!! then it will be a long time before we revisit. I asked the Maitre De if the usual chef, Norman, was working that night, and was told he was. Norman, your standards are slipping! I am quite happy to put my e-mail address here for a retort or questions about this, once fabulous, eatery. Come On Simon!! Even the menu was poor!

I have just moved into Didsbury village and went to this restaurant for the first time last night. I will go back without a doubt!! The food was really really tasty and I thought the whole atmosphere was lovely. It is a little place which is not trying to be something it isn't, which serves excellent food with a smile and didn't break the bank. They do take aways too - perfect.

Service was abysmal. We entered the restaurant and had to seat ourselves and find our own menu. The upstairs toilets are grubby. My main course was shop bought. To top it all I found an earwig in my wine. Big YUK from me.

we have been going to this restaurant for many many years.we have always had great service from Rafiq, you could not fault this man, nothing is to much trouble for him, alas we feel things have changed recently, and we feel not for the better. new staff have appeared, too full on,too pushy and might we add to much in your face, enough to make one want to go elsewhere. we say the restaurant should go back to the way it was , a very happy and friendly place to go, heres ,hoping that the management take note and see what is truly happening before there eyes.

I was disgusted at the bland quality of the food that does not represent Greece but a mix of all including tapas. Poor service with a lot of drug dealers handing around. I was also shocked to find out that Dimitris had a race-hate campaign against its neighbour Jowata restaurant. Apparently the Evening News and the Voice Newspaper revealed this info in February this year. Just next door on Jowata's windows you can see that this beautiful establishment had to put up with such racism from Dimitris and staff. Appalling and shameful to know this still goes on considering his establishment seems busier because of the alchohol sold on the other side of Jowata, on Deansgate. People should be told the truth and boycott such an establishment based on Dimitris ethnic stereotyping racism. I was happy to know Jowata won all cases and stood up to old dimitris.
