went for a meal on mothers day to the regano, was very disappointed with the service when the main course eventually was brought to the table it was cold after the meal the plates lay on the table for 15 minutes i then asked for them to be taken away ,waited on someone to offer a sweet menu never happened had to ask for that too when after yet another 14 minutes we asked how long the sweets would be ,the rather arrogant manager who may i add is an employee and should go about treating his customers with a bit more respect was quick to point out we had only waited 14 minutes ,on this i cancelled the sweets and coffee that was ordered the restaurant was very cold and draughty in my opinion its not a good place to dine in Glasgow.

Love the village for quality and service. Excellent menu. Always busy but have always managed to get a table - seems to be a firm favourite for large family groups.

Village Curry House – Glasgow

Cossachok is a real find - starting with the most amazing bloody mary. Authentic and interesting Russian specialities and reasonably pricing. Great for informal dining - this place has a great, friendly atmosphere and the art gallery is an added bonus.

The best pizza experience in town - we love it for the gluten free pizza. Cramped or cosy? - depends on where you are coming from. Often busy and noisy but always fast and friendly service.

Had some great nights out here with friends. If you have big appetites like us , you can't go wrong. Had to travel about 35 minutes to get there, but well worth it. For meat lovers? (heaven on earth) especially if you eat your meat rare fantastic(yum). I dare anyone to come out of here and want to go for a kebab. If you have never tried it, go for it, you won't be disappointed.

dreadful meal last saturday, food greasy, salty, bland and overpriced...these jokers should actually go to spain and see what real tapas is all about. Patas bravas just tex mex wedges covered in ketchup...an aubergine dish tasted of nothing but rancid cooking grease. Avoid this restaurant at all costs as Glasgow has far better to offer!

I went to this restaurant at the beginning of the year 2008. They served real Thai food and staffs were very friendly. =) I love it there and will dine there again when I visit Edinburgh next time.

If you want amazing sushi at a reasonable price head to Bonsai! I am truly an addict. The salted squid in tempura batter is sooo good! And warm sake too! : )

Probably the best Indian Restaurant in Glasgow and probably the most difficult to find. The Shenaz is not situated on a main road with an eye-catching sign; instead, the exterior is simple and in a way perfect. The menu boasts a plentiful choice and the quality and portions are excellent!

Dirty menu and served by a balding grumpy man who had a manner bypass. questions like "YOU?" and a look of disinterest certainly didn't help. this was no language or cultural difference, just a man who couldn't be bothered. Ordered two main courses, Thai Green curry and red curry for myself. the red curry was ok at best but when i asked about how thick the noodles were before ordering i was told they were not thick and not thin. a thick noodle plate dually arrived as the guy obviously hadnt a clue. The waitresses were pleasant, the green curry was bland, we were seated facing another couple less than a meter away and all in all for £60 a very disappointing Thai meal. First time i have ever felt the need to go on and feedback. not good.

Very good restaurant with modern decor and polite, attentive staff. Extensive menu with lots of unusual dishes, some exclusive to Zest. Handy city centre location. Nice unusual touch were the oranges that were provided after the meal. Price of dinner for three, including drinks was £57. Noticed that they have a lunch special for £4.95

A large party of us went here just before Christmas. The food was excellent, authentic and the staff were very friendly. This is a very good restaurant and well worth a visit.

Situated in Haddington, this is a very good restaurant with an extensive menu. Service is excellent the staff are very pleasant and the surroundings are pleasant. Quality of food is very good, particular good value is the buffet on Sundays.

brilliant, went back for a second time to try the banquet as recommended by the waiter. Cant get enough of this place. Just wish I didn't have to travel to the other side of the m8 to dine there. When are you opening in Edinburgh?

Balbirs Restaurant – Glasgow

A hidden Gem set in the wrong end of town, and unchanged in 30 years. You take your life in your hands getting here (A number of doss houses and cheap hotels surround the place) but inside the staff are great and the chef expert at the craft of tasty extra large portions served from the pot to the table in seconds. Try any of the sizzlers for a real taste bud experience. Over the 10 years we have been regulars here there have been puch up's, drive by shootings, lots of spilt wine, but always a great night to be had with Amin and his trusty bunch of helpers, not forgetting his Dad in the kithen. South Indian Chilli Ccicken & Tandori Mix are a couple of our choices, & you get to bring your own wine, beer, spirits etc. Nan bread is the size of a suitcase & takeaways are cheap, tasty and in mega proportions.
