Went to Parrilla after recommendations for our Anniversary and were not disappointed. From the minute we walked in the customer service was warm and welcoming. The server went to great length explaining the cuts of meat and had a display to show them off too. The food was excellent and very good quality indeed. We will definitely be back soon. Excellent service and superb food, can’t go wrong here

Food Great- Bar Service fantastic - but really let down due to an allergy. I have a severe mushroom allergy, I added this to my booking. I love steak so had been wanting to try here for some time, and i am aware mushrooms compliment red meat very well. I love them, but they do not love me. As I always do, I again mentioned my mushroom allergy to the man taking my order. He stopped taking the order and said he had to speak to his manager, who was only a few tables away, the manager asked him if I had an epi pen? Random enough, but then came to ask me the same, I explained the allergy was severe but that not all allergies were anaphylaxis. He then said they couldnt guarantee my food would be allergy free, he advised the chef may not take the correct responsibility ( that is a direct quote), He asked what happens if i eat them and I explained I would be violenty sick numerous times until my body felt the mushrooms were gone, as this exchange was on going, the other diners were all looking over which made me very anxious, my finace explained that unless he could ensure every care would be taken for our meal we would have to leave, we had already opened a couple of bottles of wine while we were waiting for our orders to be taken, so obviously he didnt want that. The manager advised he would personally stand over the chef while my main course was being cooked so we took a level of comfort frem that. We had our starters and the whole time i could see the manager in the resaurant, ( not in the kitchen observing the chef) but assumed my main wasnt going to be cooked until my starters were finished, but no, while we were still on our starters , our mains arrived, so not only was the manager not observing the chef, our food would now have to be kept warm, changing the cooking of the steaks. We were then asked 4 times if we wanted to see the dessert menu... 4 times, in a matter of minutes, the whole experience was a complete stress, and felt like they just wanted rid of us because of the allergy. After a long debate with my fiance, the manager applied a slight discount to our bill but we were still over £100. I had heard such good things about this place but I wont be back now

Excellent meal - esp the smoked trout and vegetable tempura starters.

Been here a few times already and definitely my favorited place for steaks. The service is top notch and the ambience is really good. Highly recommend, will be back again soon!

Bonito restaurante, carne excepcional y excelente el trato y explicaciones del jefe de sala con respecto a los cortes de las carnes. Por contra, la música, muy alta y con ritmos reggetoneros que no acompañan la buena comida ni la experiencia que uno espera tener en un restaurant.

Had a wonderful lunch with wife and parents. The special of Balmoral Beef was very tasty and a good portion. The decor and ambience here are lovely as are all the friendly staff who make you feel very welcome. The Manageress, Dee? is a great character and full of fun. As a local lad, very proud that we have this historic establishment on our High Street, giving such a great impression to tourists and locals alike. Very good value and with the friendly professional service and setting, feels like a real treat eating here. Highly recommend. Maybe we will try the high tea next time

My first visit and I was extremely impressed the decor is beautiful we were seated immediately even though it was busy, a waiter brought a selection of meats and explained each and how they would be cooked, we ordered the meat sharing platter, excellent good value too, dessert was delicious, a good selection of wines at reasonable prices. It’s definitely been worth the wait to have such a fantastic restaurant on our doorstep will be back soon

I cannot fault any part of our experience at Parrilla Argentinian. The food was absolutely delicious! The service was wonderful. And for the quality of food we ordered we felt it was very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back!

Good menu, good food (nice and hot) and good service. Not too pricey either.

Amazing food, fantastic atmosphere and a really great menu. We absolutely loved our meal and the service was largely great except perhaps the drinks service as we had to ask for our drinks twice which arrived 5 mins after our main courses (bar tender told us they had been forgotten about) which was a little annoying to not have a drink through our starter and while waiting on our meal. But all in all it was a really brilliant evening with outstanding good, enthusiastic and passionate staff for the most part. We will definitely be back!

Excellent meal. Steaks were delicious. Staff very friendly and attentive one of our party is coeliac and the waiter was very good at going through the food he ordered to ensure all safe. Our first visit and we will definitely be back. Great night.

Most enjoyable family dinner. Food was excellent! (A small improvement would be to have a choice of breaded fish instead of battered, especially as the restaurant next door does exactly that) We will be back.

We had a really delicious meal at Humnavoe on Saturday evening. The fusion cooking was delicious - interesting without being fussy. The lamb cooked with seaweed was fantastic. And the chocolate tart was light and delicious. Good wines too. The staff were helpful and friendly. I'd love to come back on my next trip to Orkney - and would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Stromness.

Lovely afternoon tea with Prosecco. Great value, will definitely go again!
