We've been regulars at Esteban since it opened. Went for Sunday tapas and it was still delicious. Main bugbear though is that they've changed the tapas menu and simply deleted some items....all of which were our favourites !! Hope its a temporary change as the waitress said lots of people had asked why.

Absolutely loved the food! What a lovely restaurant and lovely Spanish waitress who seemed to do everything she possibly could to ensure everything was OK with our meal. To be fair it seemed like she ran the restaurant by herself! We'll definitely be back before Easter for another family meal!

The food here is delicious. However the service is lately is very poor. On Friday and Saturday the restaurant is busy, crammed the service is slow and waiters inattentive. Having a booked a table over the phone when we arrived no table was ready and after waiting twenty minutes we has to leave the restaurant. Sadly this restaurant is a victim of its own success.

The gulshan is a top Indian restaurant! I have been visiting for many years and the restaurant benefits from the new bar upstairs which seems to make the visit more of a night out! Staff are great especially the new editon to the team gerant who is half indian and sings in the bar upstairs at weekends! he makes it a great night and his choice of indian songs are great!

Found esteban in the Liverpool good food guide. I came on Halloween and the atmosphere was lovely. Definitely best kebabs in Liverpool! Staff looked great in costume, not too sure about the witch that was floating about though. Reasonably priced as well. Next time we're on the lane we're coming back

Went to Estebans today (August bank holiday) for late lunch with parents and partner. It was lovely to dine outside on the spacious patio area, just like being abroad but with the buzz of Lark Lane and the relaxed lazy Sunday ambience of the restaurant as a backdrop. We ordered a large selection of tapas and a lovely bottle of rioja. The tapas were delicious, generously sized and very tasty. There was a wide range to choose from, with ones not found on the menu at some of the more well known tapas chains. Also, the service was attentive and courteous but unobtrusive which reflected the relaxed Sunday afternoon ambience of the restaurant today. My guests had not been before and all have commented on how much they enjoyed the food and the visit today. I was paying today and I was very impressed at the cost of the meal as we ordered a lot and had wine and coffees. It came to £20 per head which I thought was excellent considering the quality and quantity of our meal.

Went here for my birthday - food was lovely but my fiance found a caterpillar in his salad. The waitress apologised + offered us a free drink but it would have been nice if the chef had come out + spoke to us. Food was great but I wouldn't go back purely because of this incident.

What a great little restaurant. The food is amazing and the portions are excellent. The service was spot on. We went in a couple of weeks ago and met the manager, very polite young man who went out of his way to make sure our night was perfect. 10 out 0f 10 without a doubt. We look forward to returning soon!!

Hi I have wrote two letters to this restaurant and have not heard a thing. I have also rang twice and asked whether the manager would ring me back but to no avail. I had a meal there about 4 months ago , they had a leak whilst we were there, o.k these things happen but we had to sit there whilst plummers tried to sort the problem out. We had to listen to him drilling full belt, we were expected to carry on and enjoy our meal personally i found it really stressful, no one from management came to our table, we had to ask what was going on, other people were also not happy. It's a shame as the food was quite nice just very poor management. I just think it is so rude not to answer my calls and reply to my letters. I am not after a freebie just would of been nice to been acknowledged. Stick With the Mexican Tavern for overall good food and service cheers joe

Just visited the Gulshan for my partners birthday as a special treat and have to say that after expecting something fantastic I found it decidedly average and did not enjoy the experience at all. We travelled quite a long way and to say we were very disappointed is an understatement. We eat out very regularly at Indian restaurants and will not be visiting this one again. Pricey as well.

Food was lovely, but had really bad reaction to a Prawn Korma, not allergic to prawns as i eat them on a regular basis, so no idea what caused it.

We have dined at this Restaurant nearly every other week since it opened, the food is fantastic, the staff are brilliant and very friendly. The Elif is very good value for money. It you haven't tried it WHY NOT!!

I was not impressed. The portions were extremely small and the starters overpriced. Tables too close together and we had to remind them 4 times to bring our drinks.

Without a doubt one of the poorest dining experiences i have ever experienced. Food mediocre,staff poor and generally the biggest waste of money ever. Nothing authentic about the place!

Great restaurant!! Came a couple of days ago, beautiful sunny day, absolutely lovely Spanish staff. I got a chance to practice my Spanish as well. We really loved the food. Tasted so delicious, meatballs better than marantos. Unfortunately one criticism,the hostess was rude and abrupt and judging by the previous posts, it seems shes a bit of a deterrent to this place. However, we're still going to come back!!!!!!
