Had a lovely Sunday lunch good food good service will definitely go again

Pie week was delicious! The sampling platter of three pies was a lovely surprise. All we absolutely delicious and generously packed. Charly as always was tip-top with her service and attention. This is a delightful little pub with such a welcoming atmosphere and fabulous staff.

Visited during pie week and my pulled chicken and ham hock was absolutely delicious. My partner opted for the steak and kidney pudding. She found that there was so much steak and kidney inside that she wondered how the pudding hadn't burst. Poached pears and chesse cake desserts also excellent. Great food, great value.

Great food. Plenty of choice. Portion sizes are just right. There was 6 of us and our plates were all empty. Service was a little slow but we were happy to sit and chat.

Delicious generous portions, very friendly staff, good music and a good old pub atmosphere - perfect!

Website states is very dog friendly, but didn't feel like that when we arrived, even though we had informed them beforehand. It felt like they didn't want dogs, although was given a doggy menu straightaway. Was told we had to sit in the bar area which is fine, but was given a table by the gents and in front of the main door. We saw that another table was free across from us, but was told they were fully booked, that table was empty our whole visit. We all had the roast, meat was very thin, but ok, yorkshire pudding was soggy and inedible. Very disappointing vegetables, but everything was hot. Servers were attentive. But overall experience wasn't good, so unfortunately will not be returning.

friendly service and good food - that's all we ask for!

Visiting family in the area and we were greeted with a warm welcome and excellent service throughout. Best roast we’ve had in a while, a lovely home cooked meal and piping hot. I’m sure we’ll be back again soon.

My wife and I had a lovely lunch here on Sunday 19th Oct 2025. Food took 20 minutes to arrive, but when it arrived, it was all nice and hot.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Denbigh. The food was excellent -well presented very fresh, delicious and hot Good variety. The server was friendly and attentive. She was the only one serving and was doing a great job

Have been coming here for the last 5 years. The place is a bit dated and needs a bit of love in areas but the staff are great. The food is good and plentiful. Never disappointed. Have been at lunch and also for dinner. Well worth the visit. The Sunday roasts are amazing too

I always love coming to the Denbigh. Very warm and welcoming and the staff are very friendly. The food is always delicious and freshly prepared and I love the different themed weeks they do throughout the year. I’m a regular with my guide dog Quiz who also loves going due to the treats she gets!

We visited during seafood week and the gravalax, crab cakes and skate wing were all excellent. Service always good here. Shame there were very few diners but the weather was bad so it's probably busier on a normal evening. If only they'd update the interior and get rid of that awful carpet. The tables are "sticky" so maybe new tables would help or just a table cloth?

We had a lovely meal at The Denbigh. Menu has some different dishes to most pubs. Wait was a bit long but well worth it as good tasty fresh ingredients. Our dog was also welcome and had some biscuits.

I ordered a roast pork which arrive on a lovely hot plate along with my veg and and cauliflower cheese it was all hot and absolutely delicious l ate every bit as it was just to good to waste would definitely recommend you go and try it. I got amazing service as well all the young ladies were amazing attentive and friendly . Will definitely be going back to try something else soon.
