Lovely friendly pub. Good food and very reasonably priced. Dog friendly too so what's not to like?
The Denbigh – BexhillCan't fault the food or service, the roast dinners were perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and good portioned. The team are young, friendly and professional.
The Denbigh – BexhillWe both had the sea bass and it was very good. We will visit again.
The Denbigh – BexhillI was treated to lunch by a friend. The meal was superb. My friend had the sea bass and I had the vegetarian moussaka. Both dishes were superb and we cleared our plates. Happily we were not too full for dessert! Warm chocolate brownie with chantilly cream and meringue with berries and cream were both delicious. Service was faultless and not intrusive and there was no excessively loud music just the lovely buzz of a friendly, busy pub. The busy landlady spared the time to answer my friend's questions about the history of the pub. I wholeheartedly recommend this lovely, welcoming pub.
The Denbigh – BexhillWe've eaten at the Denbigh several times and usually have a Sunday lunch. The selection is relatively narrow but has always been of good quality, decent sized portions and priced between £17-£19 for a roast dinner. The 'medley' has a selection of pork + crackling & stuffing, lamb, beef with mixed vegetables and Yorkshire pudding. Service is always polite and attentive. You can eat both inside and outside if you brave the weather, there are outside heaters with a covered dining area and we always book as it can get busy at times. It does look 'tired' on the inside so don't expect too much in that respect but you can't fault the food or service.
The Denbigh – BexhillWe enjoy going to eat at the Denbigh: good quality home cooked food, including gluten free, plus friendly staff and cosy surroundings.
The Denbigh – BexhillAmazing food and lovely atmosphere. Charlie makes you feel like you are the most important peoplein the room. Highly recommended
The Denbigh – BexhillI had the roast pork on sunday great meal. Not too much on the veg plate some mash would have been good Too many roast however lovely I love the trimming with the pork especially the crackling
The Denbigh – BexhillWe are regular diners and have enjoyed the full range of dishes from the delightfully light summer salads, to the magnificent Sunday lunch (medley roast - yes!!) and the regular evening menu. Service is attentive, costs very reasonable and vibe is well-loved local pub. We will continue to be regular visitors. Thank you, The Denbigh!
The Denbigh – BexhillMyself, daughter & mother in law visited on Sunday 22/03/25 and all had the roast. Definitely 10/10 I can’t fault a single thing. Staff were very attentive with a ready smile. The Portuguese custard tart was to die for , delicious.
The Denbigh – BexhillExcellent meal: generous portions and delicious food. Amazing mince apple crumble and custard! Attentive and friendly service. Thank you!
The Denbigh – BexhillExcellent Sunday dinner. Service was exceptionally good.
The Denbigh – BexhillOur first visit. Food was lovely & reasonably priced. Only fault with service was the doubling up. It seemed staff had no designated tables so we were continually asked the same question re ordering & how our food was. Better to be asked than ignored but is easily resolved I thought. Staff seemed nice. The negative is how tired & unloved the place seemed. It seems to have no identity. Old is fine but old & grubby not so much. Not suggesting a refit but a bit of TLC could go a long way in my opinion.
The Denbigh – BexhillExcellent superb delicious scallops for Rye Scallop week special The steak & kidney pudding never disappoints Small negative was being seated on broken bench shared with pleasant couple on next table. Every time one of us moved slightly it tipped forward. It was not until the end of the meal when I realised the central leg was almost held together with gaffa tape.
The Denbigh – BexhillA famous local pub with a very good reputation for food. I visited in the evening and have to say that the reputation is deserved. Very good gastropub menu, with a decent wine list. Food was piping hot and well cooked. Chips were somewhere between chunky chips and fries, and went down well. Big portions. Service was exemplary. The pub itself is old style and a little dated. It hasn't yet had the usual grey paint gastropub refurb, and it is better for that. Friendly locals were the main audience. Recommended.
The Denbigh – BexhillFabulous food, great service and nice atmosphere. Little more Veggie choice and itd be perfect
The Denbigh – BexhillExcellent food and service
The Denbigh – BexhillHad a four course valentines meal, food was amazing, from the starter to the dessert. We have been for a roast or two in the last 6 months, also very good. Lovely atmosphere and exceptional garden to enjoy the sun.
