The Old Crown – CoventryMyself and my sister had a meal at Da Gino last night. It was the first time we have visited Da Gino and it was amazing. From the minute we walked in we were made to feel very welcomed. We were seated upstairs and staff were very friendly and we received excellent service. Our food was amazing we will definitely return.
Da Gino – Sutton ColdfieldI recently went to The Vine with my Dad for Father's Day (on the Sat night though). We also took my dog Bobby who was made very welcome by the staff and other guests in the pub. This pub has lovely memories for me because my parents used to bring me here as a child (more than 35 years ago) where would sit out side, enjoy the atmosphere and watch the animals potter around. These days I make a point to visit this pub, with my family when we are visiting my Dad because the food is so good! The menu seems to appeal to all tastes and the quality of the ingredients is high. This time I had the partridge dish and my Dad had the Barbary Duck dish. The desserts were also delicious.

My only gripe was the meal I had from the specials, I chose the venison which was cooked great but I thought very over priced at nearly £17 for a piece of venison 4 boiled potatoes with chorizo and a single grilled tomato.
Vine Inn – StourbridgeLovely food, we had the Sunday carvery and the toffee/honeycomb cheesecake which was gorgeous. Staff were very attentive without being invasive. We forgot the football game was on when booking but staff asked on arrival if we wanted to be able to watch it from our table, when we said no we were seated at the other end so weren't bothered by it.
The Old Crown – CoventryBefore I start, this is a biased review, because I love Da Gino. My husband took me last night 10.6.21 to celebrate a very special birthday and we had a wonderful time. The staff, the ambience and the food were outstanding, as always. The welcome was warm; the staff are all long serving and it really feels as if they know you personally. I discovered I love courgette cooked the 'Da Gino' way, which is a huge surprise because normally I can't stand the stuff! It's been a long time since we were able to visit and we can't wait to go back again. My husband had the duck and he said it was 'fantastic', the sauce just right and the duck beautifully cooked. My only sadness was I didn't have room for desert because they looked amazing too. Thank you for a lovely evening. See you again soon.

Could not fault staff or food but sadly ordered a pint of Speckled Hen and a pint of Wainwrights but both tasted of chemicals and were sent back and were told pipes had been cleaned 3 days earlier so not chemicals. We were one of the first customers and the only other thought was that they had not drawn enough or any beer through the pipes prior to serving. We have visited before whilst working in the area and are back again working for 3 months but sadly were not impressed. Janet Musson
