Amazing food as our grandchildren said 100/10 say no more. Liver and steak and Stilton pie, best I’ve ever had. Definitely revisiting thank you.

We are a group of 6 who frequently enjoy the hospitality of the Red Lion. As usual, the service was excellent, the menu choices plentiful, the atmosphere pleasant and the food great. With one gluten free member, the team went over and above by checking what items could be GF when taking our orders. As always, we enjoyed an excellent lunch.

Accommodated us at short notice and welcomed with the usual smile. Food is of very good quality, reasonably priced and served by efficient and friendly staff. Always a pleasure to eat here. A very good mix between Pub and Restaurant.

Fantastic all round. Catered for a very large (over 20) family lunch. Service was great - staff were efficient but we were not rushed at all. The food was lovely and a wide range of ages and different tastes catered for brilliantly - generous portions and everything cooked exactly as requested. Excellent experience and atmosphere. We arrived at 5pm, it was almost empty. People seated after us had drinks orders taken before us. We waited almost 20 minutes to have drinks order taken and waited another 15 minutes for them to arrive and one of the two drinks was wrong. Ordering a 2nd drink took just as long and we had to point to what we wanted. Staff clearly need training time to learn the drinks menu as this takes away from the atmosphere and the customer experience. Food was very tasty and good value but things like rice quickly ran out when it got busier, meaning people lingering for items to be topped up. There wasn't really an atmosphere but luckily I had good company to distract from that. This could be an amazing place to dine with some training and attention to detail.

Very relaxed atmosphere. Excellent staff. Excellent ale and cider. Menu was totally different to all the samey places around. Not the usual things you get elsewhere but tasty and down to earth food not trying to be too fancy unlike many others. Food was fresh hot and tasty. Would definitely recommend

1st time visiting here and it was lovely! The service was quick for being greeted, seated, served drinks and for dishing up the food. The portions were great value for what you paid for and the staff were lovely and friendly. The atmosphere of the pub was really nice and chilled and the facilities were clean. Will definitely be coming back in the near future

I made a booking for a friend and I to have a Sunday roast. The food we had was absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were excellent and the atmosphere in the dining area was very pleasant - cosy and light. The 2 course deal is fantastic for the quality of food. I love coming to the Vine and consider it to be one of the very best pubs in the area.

We are here having smelt the aroma on a previous visit to the cinema. The food was very tasty if you avoid the nuggets/chips etc and it was a very good value meal.

Food was quite tasty, better than most all you can eat buffet restautants that I have tried. Price was quite reasonable. Restaurant is quite big so does not feel particularly cozy, but is good for a quick lunch or dinner before a show.

Arranged to meet friends here as it was a half way point between us. As soon as you walked in the door it felt like a proper pub, the sort anyone would be welcome to. As we were eating, we had a table in the dinning room. Lovely clean, ironed table cloth. Good choice of menu and service was warm and friendly. Food was great! Would defo go back!
