Colebrook Inn – ShirleyThis is a great place to take your family out for a meal. I have been several times now and the staff are very helpful and make you feel at home. When you come in and when you leave they take the time to welcome you. Food is great and the variety especially the deserts (which I Love) is brilliant for the price. I would recommend this Restaurant to anyone...
Buffet Island – ErdingtonCurrently I am working my way through the menu! Everything so far has been delicious - lots of attention to combination of flavours, never greasy and attractive presentation of food. Staff have a great sense of humour - real helpful and attentive. My husband had NEVER been out for a curry - this was his first experience (at the age of 50) and REALLY enjoyed his meal.- didn't expect to! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!
B26 Food Of India – SheldonAre you hungry? Very hungry? Good. Then Molly's just might be the place for you! I can't remember who said that to eat well in England you should eat breakfast at every meal, but whoever it was must have been to Molly's (though she does more than just breakfast). This is no greasy spoon, it's a sparkling little gem. If you can get in - it's pretty small, and there are plenty of people who want to eat there: little old ladies, huge builders, skinny students - you'll be glad you made the effort. The Ulster fry breakfast, for example, is to die for. You probably will if you are not a sturdy eater. You get an enormous white china plate with really excellent bacon, white pudding, black pudding (optional) potato farl, soda bread, and loads of other good stuff. It's all of the finest, served rapidly by smiling ladies in long black skirts who look capable of organising a ceilidh band at any moment. Oh, just go there! It's on Kings Norton Green. Bring a big appetite.
Mollys – Kings NortonI have been to cafe Balti, number of times, with my family. I really like there £6.95 special offer, which I recommended to every one. There tikka massala is outstanding, and there jalfrezi is mouth watering.
Cafe Balti – SheldonExcellent value for money will be back soon.
La Nonna – SheldonVisited on several occasions. The decor is bright yet tranquil. Service is very good, but tops for quality of food. May not be the biggest portions, but superbly cooked, and wonderful flavours. Recommend the shaslick to start. Give it a try.
Purbo Bagh International Restaurant – ErdingtonDucking in off the High Street, we were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The service and attention to detail were great and the food was great: rather than just having the stock standard Indian restaurant fare, they had some unusual combinations which were really delicious. The cost was surprisingly OK as well. We'll go back again.
Bangla Lounge – HarborneVery good, a nice friendly place to go. Good service and good looking bar staff.
Beggars Bush The – Sutton ColdfieldThe Tapas is sensational every time we go. Definitely worth another visit!
La Plancha Spanish Tapas and Cocktail Bar – MoseleyStuart the bar tender gives very good service! He also gives me plenty of choices for cocktails!
TGI Fridays – EdgbastonFantastic food. Waiters had provided excellent service and the cost was reasonable.
Itihaas Indian Restaurant – Birmingham City CentreBeing a vegetarian it is often hard to find a restaurant with a good vegetarian selection, but here not only was there a good selection, but the food was absolutely excellent. They cook with quorn mince and pieces, so it makes a nice change from just vegetable dishes. My partner is a meat eater and enjoyed it just as much as me!
EverBright – SolihullI enjoyed myself at this place, I recommended it to all the FUNJI lovers out there. I thought he was the best waiter there and it was kind of him to let me take wipes home with me and my mate was even allowed to take a glass home! we were so happy, we are treasuring the stuff ... Thank you! x x x
Buffet Island – ErdingtonI recommend them to every lover of Persian food. The only problem was that the service was a bit slow. It did however improve when the manger arrived and started managing! The place is a bit cluttered and would certainly benefit from redecoration.
Shiraz – EdgbastonI love Mother India! It's one of those Indian Restaurants that hasn't sold out. You won't find any stainless steel furniture, magnolia paint or wooden floors here! It's not all flock wallpaper and red shagpile either but its certainly more traditional. the atmosphere is very friendly and it's perfect for a mid-week treat or a weekend nosh (but book for the weekend as it gets VERY busy). The service is very good and the waiters try hard to please. Children are made to feel very welcome. They may even get offered a lollipop at the end of the meal. The menu is very traditional with all the usual favourites and the owner, Jonal, is more than happy to help you with your order. I have been going to this restaurant regularly for years and have never had a bad experience. I have had a couple of occasions when things weren't exactly right (nobody's always perfect eh?) but the staff were always happy to bring a replacement and you can't say fairer than that! All in all, a lovely restaurant. They even put your leftovers in a doggy bag to take home!
Mother India – Sutton ColdfieldThe menu has been somewhat reduced although refined. We are moseleites and look forward to a local night here at weekends. We managed to order some specials from the previous menu. This place has a romantic flair and a bustling convivial atmosphere. I wish there was more food in the downstairs bar during weekends.
La Plancha Spanish Tapas and Cocktail Bar – MoseleyThe food in this restaurant is out of this world and is just the most unique but the best. The staff are polite, friendly and welcome you in a lovely manner.
