Wonderful lunch. First time visiting and we will definitely back. We travelled from Cheltenham to take my disabled uncle out for the day and it was perfect. The atmosphere, the food and the staff were wonderful. Think we may have found our new favourite pub! Thank you to Niamh and Frankie for looking after us!

Visited on New Years Eve for lunch Main course and sweet only Excellent choice of dishes and the food was tasty and of an excellent standard.

3 of us had a memorable Christmas Eve lunch on the 24th. Mussels were fresh and tasty and the steaks were cooked to perfection. We could not fault the staff and their friendly service and will look forward to our return.

Our anaversary celebration was a great experience. Warm and friendly, cosy and clean, fantastic food at very reasonable prices. We will return.

Family Christmas meal, the food atmosphere and especially the staff made it a great family occasion.

Lovely night out with friends. Our visit to the Vine was the usual wonderful service and delicious food. We had the 'monkfish, venison and lamb', all perfectly cooked and delicious - well done Chef! Cosy atmosphere with a log fire and friendly happy staff - all added to make our night out a good one.

The staff were extremely helpful. I mean our group size changed and arrival times were staggered, the staff sorted starters for the early arrivals and then timed the main courses for when the stragglers arrived. (the late arrivals were sent a menu by WhatsApp and they chose while on their journey over) Food presentation was great and quantities perfect. Will return.

Lovely meals with excellent service

Food was amazing, service was shocking. Forgot about us basically and gave us pudding menus and left for half an hour without checking in. Got the bill and all the staff were just sat round! Annoying as the food was so nice and wanted dessert but they just couldn’t be bothered

This is our new favourite place to eat! Excellent food, friendly service and a traditional atmosphere- it really does have everything. I used to run restaurants so I’m difficult to please… the Vine is outstanding.

Fantastic food, service & atmosphere!

Visited yesterday for a meal with family. So impressed with the menu which is extremely varied. We all chose different meals and were all extremely pleased with our choices. I opted for the monkfish which was sublime! Really friendly staff, good service, would definitely recommend and can't wait to come back!

Took my mother here for a pre-christmasy lunch out. Excellent service. She is 96 and, at her request, was offered a smaller portion of the main course. We tucked into some lovely vension haunch off the specials board with greens beans that had been perfectly good (still crunchy) and dauphinoise potatoes that were very creamy. The Wainwrights beer was well kept and a very drinkable glass of merlot. Great pub food.

Absolutely scrumptious! The pie was beautiful and the service and atmosphere was great. Have booked for Christmas eve as enjoyed it so much.

The food and staff here are lovely. Nothing is too much trouble and are able to eat your starter without the next course being brought to you before you've finished. Highly recommend. It is slightly more expensive than some places but food is homecooked and you get what you pay for.
