Food is always beautiful. Never had a bad meal here and I’ve been visiting for years. The decor is lovely and the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. The staff are always smiling, polite and friendly. I would 100% recommended this beautiful country pub to anyone.

We usually pop into the Vine after a weekend walk fr a drink and snacks. If we have a little more time we have a bar meal. This time we had the Turkey and Stuffing sandwich it’s a couple of bowls of chips. The meal was great with fresh bread and good quality fillings. We’ve never had a bad meal at the Vine, we’ll worth a visit if you are tired of the chain pubs.

We went to the red lion Sunday 27th November. We had a lovely time, food was great, atmosphere was lovely, staff are brilliantly helpful, kind & all round great. Look forward to going back again soon.

I dined at your restaurant in Coventry last Saturday 19th November. We were a party of six people. The food was very good (all 6 agreed on this) but there it ended. We coiuld not get any coffee as the machine was broken and the restaurant was very cold. The ladies in our group ended up eating with their coats on. Your non-alchohol policy did not help either. Most people enjoy a glass of wine with their food so that was very disappointing. Overall would not return .

We had a delicious meal. Staff were very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is of a traditional pub, with a lovely open fire. Will definitely go again.

This was my third visit in seven days and the second in two nights so that says something! I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful service, so friendly, courteous and efficient. The food for myself and my companion was first class, just as it was on my other visits. We are fortunate in having this excellent establishment in our locality. I have been using the Red Lion for many years and have never been disappointed.

An excellent restaurant which we have visited many times over a number of years. The traditional decor and beautiful clean table linen provides an excellent welcome. Food is, and always has been delicious, served hot and with friendly politeness. Great value for money.

First time we've been here and the food, service and place were amazing. Real little gem, wish I'd found this place sooner. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.

This is one of our favourite places. Lovely old pub with great food. The moules were the best I’ve tasted for ages, lovely garlicky creamy sauce. 3 roast beef dinners, the beef is fabulous really cooked to perfection, we always have rare or medium rare. Sorbet, mother in law loves and chocolate torte, great. 2 courses or 3 for a very reasonable price, can’t beat it. Definitely go again.

Our first visit but definitely not our last. Delicious food with friendly service and a lovely welcoming environment.

A Sunday lunch where we all ate differently. I had a traditional turkey lunch. If I'm honest I've had better Sunday lunches with you. Roast potatoes too soft, stuffing hard and no parsnips Hubby had a vegetarian meal (enchilada) which he said it lacked flavour and was very little of it. My vegetarian friend asked for the other veg meal which she was told had sold out (it was only 1pm) so they made something up for her which again lacked flavour. Our other friend kept quiet about his monkfish scampi although in my view there wasn't much. We think today must if been an off day as usually I never have a complaint.

Booked on line very easily and our special request was fulfilled . Visited lunchtime with friends and had great meal at very reasonable price. Staff extremely friendly and helpful will definitely return soon.

I have been to the Red Lion many times and Ihave always had an excellent meal and excellent service m I have recommended it to family and friends and they have been equally impressed.

First visit since Covid. Very friendly staff and ok pub food. Only criticism was that the pub was very cold. Obviously trying to keep costs down but would make me think twice about returning.

Enjoyed a very pleasant meal at The Red Lion in very pleasant surroundings - it really is a character building. Found the menu offered a good selection at reasonable prices. Staff were very friendly and even though busy at least they did us the courtesy to tell us they would be "with us in a minute". Have been to other pub/restaurants where they just leave you standing and don't even acknowledge your presence so a big thumbs up for that service. Easy to book a table on-line. Will definitely return.
