Food, sensational. Price, you get what you pay for. Ambience? A delight. Staff, excellent. Somelier extremely good, hugely knowledgeable. They can't get better can they?

I had a meal there on Tuesday October 8th and it was excellent. The food and service were first class. I didn't collect a vat receipt for my expenses. OMG! Our first visit to Calypso but it definitely won't be our last. The food was amazing! We came on recommendation from a friend and Wow we werent disappointed. Our night was made even more enjoyable by the young waiter called Niall who is an absolute credit to the restaurant. We are now in the process of organizing a girls night out and will be returning very soon!! Cant wait!

Excellent food

By far and away the best restaurant in the North West of England. The food is excellent and well worth the undoubted expense. Although the service is of a high quality it lacks a genuine warmth and can feel a little stuffy. The overall experience cannot be beaten. A special place for special occasions.

STAFF VERY POLITE AND WELL MANNERED, FOOD COOK EXCELLENT. NO COMPLAINTS WITH DRINKS AS WELL.

I will not be returning. Overpriced average food in a very noisy and stuffy atmosphere. Bar area too close to the dining tables making it impossible to have a conversation without resorting to shouting. On the plus side, the staff are effecient.

We dropped in here today for our lunch and waited a good 20 mins for our food so we were thinking "it'll be worth the wait", as there were plenty of diners we were expecting great things - it arrived at our table and resembled a frozen food meal you could pick up from the local supermarket and the roast potatoes were a famous brand needless to say wont be going back there :(

This small understated veggie cafe is a breath of fresh air in blackburn, the comfy ambiance and very friendly staff made the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable. The food was delicious and the flavours were a symphony for the taste buds. My friend who is not a veggie thought that it was fresh and did not miss the meat at all! I would highly recommend this to anyone.P.s the cake was to die for!

been eating at Tiggis' restaurants for over 30 years - this is no exception - no expense spared on fittings and decor, total professionalism in everything - well done Lino!

Dear Sir or MadamWe visited the Willows on the 14th August 2012 for a meal. We arrived at 6 45 pm and ordered a drink and at 720 pm we decided we had waited long enough and their were others waiting to order but there was only 1 person waiting on at the tables. The person working on the bar was pleasant but she was overworked by people just wanting a drink. We decided to go and commented on how dissatisfied we were and he apologised. We didn't feel that was enough, he should have at least offered us a drink so we shall not be visiting the Willows ever again.yours faithfullyMr Peter Howarth

I would steer clear of this club, if you want a bunch of day glow ravers and coked up bouncers, this is your place. Personally I wouldn't go again, the place was empty and lacked atmosphere. 2/10

just excellent nothing fancy just simple but delicious dishes using the very best local produce. dont be put off by the prices you are paying for quality

not bad for a chain restaurant puts a lot of independently owned italians to shame pizzas are excellent

the food is to die for as good as it gets apart from maybe the desserts not quite up to the michelin starred rating but everything else just stunning.the only ting that lets it down is the stuffy service & snobby customers. you can get just as good food at ramsons in ramsbottom without the over the top service & snobby customers and also unlike northcote the desserts are the same standard as the other courses
