This area is lacking of fine dining and cassis is definitely setting its stall out with talk of a Michelin star. I think there is a way to go. The place itself is welcoming and the manager was very attentive. When aiming so high everything has to be almost perfect. The food was very good, not sure about whole black peppercorns to ruin a nice beef dish, when the flavours are so delicate this is far too overpowering. i found the other staff to be less than knowledgeable about the food and I don’t like eyes burning into my head waiting for us to finish. Tell the chefs to stay in the kitchen instead of rummaging in the cutlery draw for all to see. Maybe I’m being picky but when you are asking for such accolades these things must be addressed. That said the other dishes are of 2/3 rosette standard and overall the evening was quite pleasant.
