We had our first meal at Ellenders last night and it was really delicious. Food was fresh and well cooked and plenty of it. The staff were very attentive and polite. Would not hesitate in recommending and we will definitely make this a regular eating place.

On 5th December the family had a lovely meal we all had something different but all thoroughly enjoyed our meals the food was piping hot and we cannot fault it the pies are amazing we would thoroughly recommend Ellenders the staff are amazing nothing too much trouble very friendly efficient and helpful the atmosphere is very relaxing not only nests but the slice of cake with a hot drink is our guilty pleasure

Took some friends who had never been before and loved ever part of the evening. The ambience,the staff and more importantly the food was absolutely delicious the starters,the main and the desserts Will 100% go again.

The food is very good but the night we were there we had a long wait for food. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Good menu choices.

Great food {the pie!}, good service and staff ,and a brilliant venue.

Myself and three friends attended "The Pie Night" on 9/11/2023. We all agreed that the food was excellent, very tasty, lots of it and nice and hot. Very efficient, helpful and friendly staff aswell. We will return!

PIE NIGHT WAS WONDERFUL !! The range of pies was good. All of our table chose a different pie and each one was delicious.Portions were large. Staff are great. Really enjoyable

We attended for wine and cheese night, the food was delicious and the wine complimented it well. The restaurant was very busy and had a good atmosphere. Great night thank you!

We had a table of 4 for the cheese and wine night. We were seated but then left for quite a while before we were served. The table next to us or sat after us were served before us. Our order for our food was taken, there was only 2 of the beef dishes left, which was disappointing as the 4 of us wanted it. The waitress left without taking the wine order so the starters arrived with no wine order still taken. The starters came out, 3 were correct, 1 wasn’t so my friend ate hers after we’d eaten ours. Then the mains came out, 3 arrived and then the news that the beef had ran out so would I like to order something else. So the table ate without me and I ate once mine arrived and they’d finished. The mains and starter despite the mishaps was of a good standard. The cheese and biscuits to finish was very poor. They did give us £30 off the bill and a glass of wine to make up for it. The atmosphere is lovely in there, just needs a little more organisation. Also turn the TV off for restaurant evenings! Understand it’s a football club but spoils it a little and you can’t help but watch it!

Great ambience. Really warm and welcoming staff who managed to find us a table an hour before the time we’d booked. Clean plates all round so food was a hit too! Just wish we’d had room for dessert.

My wife and I booked a table for dinner on Tuesday evening. Although the restaurant obviously wasn't busy we still found it slightly strange that the waitress didn't seem to check our booking before seating us. I had the Buffalo Chicken Wings starter and the Lincolnshire Sausage and Mash main. My wife had just the Hunter's Chicken main. The food was to a good standard however the service we received from our waitress left a lot to be desired. When she delivered the starter she apologised that the drinks had not yet appeared and went to prepare them at the bar. My wife then received the wrong drink and had to return it to the bar to be replaced - something the waitress didn't seem too happy about. Each time the waitress delivered an item to the table we would thank her, but she always seemed to have already turned away from us. In fact she was often looking elsewhere as she placed the item on the table. Stranger still, when she came to ask how our meal was, she didn't wait for the reply even though it came quite rapidly and was positive. A couple of times other members of staff came to our table. They were friendly and efficient. Our waitress seemed to be friendlier to another table. We can only assume she knew them. Either that or she thought we had done something wrong, but I can't think what. In summary, the food was good, but the service was indifferent and not particularly welcoming.

Friendly welcoming staff, food is lovely as is the atmosphere, well done all we will be returning.

On Friday 8th September 2023 we was able to have a 50 years Service in the NHS for Andrea Rushby held at Ellenders We decided to use Ellenders for the venue solely because of Sonia! Sonia is the sole and face of Ellenders she is always so helpful and enthusiastic, we all thought she was the Manager because of her passion for Ellenders. Sonia ensured the area was set up to perfection, making Andreas night so special. Sonia, thank you so so much for all your help, attention to detail and professionalism The menu and food was outstanding thank you Tom Hall amazing chef and handsome.

Excellent lunch on Wednesday. Food was perfectly cooked. Was very good value for money.
