Friendly welcoming staff, food is lovely as is the atmosphere, well done all we will be returning.

On Friday 8th September 2023 we was able to have a 50 years Service in the NHS for Andrea Rushby held at Ellenders We decided to use Ellenders for the venue solely because of Sonia! Sonia is the sole and face of Ellenders she is always so helpful and enthusiastic, we all thought she was the Manager because of her passion for Ellenders. Sonia ensured the area was set up to perfection, making Andreas night so special. Sonia, thank you so so much for all your help, attention to detail and professionalism The menu and food was outstanding thank you Tom Hall amazing chef and handsome.

Excellent lunch on Wednesday. Food was perfectly cooked. Was very good value for money.

Visited for curry night. We tried 3 curries. We didn’t eat any of them. The meat in all three was very unpleasant and none of them resembled their title. The goat curry had no flavour at all, a little heat and the meat was chewy and very unpleasant. Such a shame because that’s what we went for. My friend tried a chicken curry, which was supposed to be on the bone but was so over cooked, it was just shreds of chicken. I had the beef rendang. I make a good beef rendang. This did not resemble one. We did see the lamb curry being served as we were leaving and that actually looked like a curry! So all in all, very disappointing . It was our first visit, so probably won’t visit again.

The waiting time was a while even though we’d booked a table. We thought it was a bit misleading that it said 3 courses for £16.95 when it was for a starter and two mains, which all came out together, so when it got round to eating the main they were getting cold. My friend had to send her cocktail back because it was like drinking pure alcohol. So all in all wouldn’t rush back. The waitresses were lovely though.

Staff were incredibly attentive and kind. Reasonably priced, great tasting food. The restaurant was immaculate.

We came as a party of 10 last night (been a few times before). I can't ever understand why Ellenders isn't busier as once again it was a really lovely meal. The only thing a couple of our party noticed was the chips being a bit warm instead of hot but other than that the servers were lovely and the food was great.

Excellent meal at Ellenders , Friday fish deal was value for money and very nice.

Birthday visit for 3 people. 2 Hunters Chicken + Scampi. Excellent food served by pleasant staff. Loved the Cold River Cider!

Communication with Karen, fantastic from the first call, large booking of 27, food and service was brilliant. We weren’t rushed at all and ended up staying the whole evening. Keep up the great work, many thanks for a great evening for my wife’s 50th birthday

Customer Service outstanding. We had turkey & ham pie x 2, Lincolnshire sausage sandwich and fish & chips. My only comment is that the fish was off white in colour and didn’t taste as fresh as I would like it to be. I did wonder if it had been kept warm too long before service. However, apart from that everything was absolutely fine.

Fabulous meal with the wife and parents. We ordered Sausage and onion pie x2, Hunters Chicken, and Fish and Chips. The food was of great quality and good portion sizes. For desserts we had Belgian Waffles x2, Sticky Toffee Pudding, Trio of ice cream. Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff. Love visiting to eat here.

Great location for a lunch meeting. Sandwiches were great and service was pleasant and attentive without being obtrusive. Will use again.

A lovely evening and meal with friends, good food and a nice timely service, staff attentive but not intrusive. Will definitely be back.
