Went on a Friday evening and received good service, we both had fish and chips which was a bit expensive (more reasonable with the January offer of 30% off ) and the fish was very oily, would have been nice if they had let the cooking oil drain from the fish before serving. We will return, but probably choose another meal.

We had a lovely family.meal staff friendly and nothing too much trouble excellent value plenty of food piping hot and delicious. We weren't rushed and It was very relaxing We couldn't recommend ellenders enough we will certainly be back in the near future

Came to Ellenders on a work lunch, there was 26 of us so we had to pre order and pay a deposit, but from the very beginning from booking and sorting the pre order and deposit, Claire in the accounts team was brilliant and very helpful! The staff on the day were really friends and very helpful, the food was absolutely delicious! Not one complaint from anyone (which as you can agree out of 26 people thats very good!) Very highly recommend and the January discount is an added bonus!

Very easy to reserve a table,excellent service from the staff,food was good as well.When we found out at the end there was 30% discount it was a bonus.we will be back.

Sunday lunch - nice surroundings, food was delicious, great value, especially with 30% off food in January, service impeccable, what's not to like?

Met up with 3 other friends for tea. Service very good as was the food will certainly return. Discount certainty attracts people then the quality of the food does the rest.

My partner decided to treat me to a night out here after seeing the menu online at the restaurants own site. On arrival we discovered that the menu had been drastically reduced from what was advertised due to the new year and dishes we were looking forward to, specifically the rack of ribs and the lasagne were no longer available. In fact almost half the dishes had been removed. We went with a starter which was lovely. We both had BBQ Chicken wings, which were amazing. Mains however were a different story. I had the Steak & Ale pie with winter vegetables. The pie tasted burnt and it came with carrots, broccoli (looking pretty limp and sorry for itself and parsnips (a personal dislike). Had I known there were parsnips I’d have asked them to be removed. My partner had the Mediterranean Grilled Chicken thighs with Koffman fries and dressed salad. What it didn’t mention was the HUGE portion of olives which came with it. Since the smell and taste of the olives was overwhelming and she intensely dislikes them this went a long way towards ruining the dish. The salad was drenched in dressing and the chicken was underdone. The meal was pretty much inedible as a result. If you’re going to put something like olives, an acquired taste, in the dish then please at least say so in the menu. After the disappointing mains we didn’t stay for the desert, the menu for which was similarly reduced from what was advertised. The waitress passed our comments on to the kitchen staff but not to the manager so when we came to pay he had no idea what had happened. He knocked the price of our drinks off the bill…a John Smiths and a coke, but we still paid for two disappointing meals. On the whole, really disappointing overall.

We celebrated a family birthday with friends. As always the portion sizes were huge, the food was tasty and everyone enjoyed their meals.

Had our work Christmas meal here on 16th and were very pleased with the food and service. There were 20 of us in the party and we all got served together with piping hot food, everyone enjoyed their dishes. The service could not be faulted.

Excellent service and food selection - popped in while my son was playing on the 3g - excellent surroundings - love the grazing options. Good value will be there again.

We had to do pre - order that was ok but still had to wait 45 min for food to come out . Some of the dishes sat on top under light, people in groups of 4 walking taking there orders and getting before we did and we pre-ordered Hame and as just of packet did not look fresh from butchers. Sausage mash did not taste Wright. The brisket on top of burger was disgusting in all the food was horrible would not rate it but service good not good value at all don’t think I will come back again.

We came for a last minute meal on Wednesday which was pie night. I have a severe peanut allergy and they went out of their way to make sure what i wanted to order would be suitable. So overall great service, super helpful and good food!
