Delicious food in a delightful friendly atmosphere as always at The Ship, on bank holiday Monday. We absolutely love our visits to this our local doggy friendly Covid safe pub. We cannot praise the whole team enough for all their efforts, and for the best Fish, chips & mushy peas in Sewerby/Bridlington. Thank you all so much Lynn, Stuart & Bertie.

All good nice atmosphere bit bedlam getting served due to staff crisis, went next day back to normal.

We booked a table as this pub is normally full. We come here for lunch every time we visit Bridlington. The food is home cooked and always nice. Regarding Covid they had hand sanitiser around, one way systems, I felt like it was organised. I had the crab cakes with Asian salad and it was absolutely beautiful, nice and fresh. The rest of the family had got roast stotties and they all said how nice they were. I love the fact my dog is welcome and they even have a doggie menu; he loved his Cumberland sausage and puppicino

Had a lovely meal on Saturday 29th August I had the scampi and chips and my husband had pizza. Felt very covid safe, one of the few places we've been where the staff have face coverings. Huge meals, friendly staff will definitely go again next time we're on holiday

Booked a table online. When we arrived it was very busy outside where you had to wait to be seated. The staff were excellent and we were shown to our table within minutes. Very well run with the Covid restrictions in place. The food was excellent and plenty of it! Service was excellent and all staff members attentive. We will be coming back here now we've found this place

Booked a table for Weds last week as we always have lunch here when we are in Brid, organised well very COVID safe dining experience, felt very safe. The only criticism is the wearing of gloves, one staff member in particular was only wearing one and touching everything, it would far more hygienic if no gloves were worn and regular hand washing was undertaken. The food was lovely we both had different and couldn’t fault it, really enjoyed it as always. The service was a bit lacking we had to wait an hour as they had a rush on outside, seems a bit odd when you have booked a table that you have to wait because they are busy with walk ins. Despite being told it was table service and after clearing our tables we were not asked if we wanted anything else, staff kept passing our empty table which was all a bit strange. We sat for over 30 mins before I eventually asked if we could have coffees, the comment we got was ‘sorry didn’t realise you wanted anything else’ well we weren’t asked nor were we offered the bill, felt like we shouldn’t be there. We will go back when are are next in Brid as the food is so good and these are very difficult times for all of us.

Another excellent meal, & Covid safe dining experience at The Ship Inn. The team really do have a knack of getting it all right, & also manage to make it look effortless. There’s always a smile, & a friendly welcome for all. Thank you all very much, & keep up the good work.

First time I'd ventured out other than the Post Office and medical appointments. But no worries, the Ship Inn is fully Covid compliant. Food was great as always and Billy took special care of us. Thank you for a lovely experience!

The service and atmosphere where spot on,the food was lovely and arrives quickly,would highly recommend the pie and probably the best chips in Bridlington

Had a 40 minute wait for food, but it was worth it. My steak pie was delicious and hubby’s fish was perfect. One way system, sanitiser and staff wearing masks, aprons and gloves- very well organised. Thanks team

We would like to say a very big thank you, & well done to the whole team at The Ship Inn at Sewerby. We consider this pub our local, & would often visit for drinks & meals before the lockdown. However we felt a little nervous getting back out there & socialising in the current climate, we need not have worried. The team have got everything covered & therefore our experience was comfortable & joyous. Not to mention absolutely delicious as always, we both ordered the homemade chicken & mushroom pie, chips & mushy peas. It was the best pie we have ever tasted, perfect pastry with scrumptious chucks of chicken & mushrooms in a gorgeous rich creamy sauce The ships chips were always the best in the area I always said so, & I’m pleased to report they still are. Everything was just so perfect, & super delicious that we are going again next week. Thank you again to the whole team, & keep up the good work.

We visited the Ship on Sunday the 16th of August . We have been before and the food and service continues to be very very good. The people working there are all excellent and all know how the system works and work well together. We were shown to our table very quickly and it was explained to us how the new system worked . I actually prefer the fact that there are less tables than before! The food was lovely and nice and hot which is sometimes a challenge in some restaurants. All in all a great experience and will definitely return. I booked online which is the best way to do things as I know they get very busy .

First visit having just moved to the area. Glad we found the place, the staff were very helpful, pleasant and attentive. The food was excellent so much on the plate I had to take home pudding to eat later. We'll be back

Very good value for money. We had the carvery, everything was great except The beef and the Yorkshire puddings. x

Always excellent service at The Ship and they have managed the Covid-19 situation in a sensible and clear way, making customers as comfortable as possible.

My daughter and I booked online which was fortunate as they were turning people away. The service was excellent and the food was lovely. The whole place was managed effectively with Covid safe systems in place and adhered to.
