The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonWe had Lunch on Thursday 20th for 6 a minor complaint there was a long wait between courses for service but the food was superb.
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonBeautifully cooked Sunday lunch. Absolutely loads too, but we couldn't bear to leave a mouthful. Needs a few more customers, but I am sure they will come as this establishment is now better than it ever was. What chefs!!
King William IV – RoystonSplendid Sunday lunch faultless Thank you
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonWe have visited The Pheasant before at lunchtime and thought it would be nice to go in the evening. The restaurant was fairly busy, the atmosphere was cosy, not to noisy. The staff were very friendly and attentive . The food was very good, served hot and the timming good. Will definitely visit again soon.

The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonAs always the pheasant always delivers. Superb food and fantastic wine list. The atmosphere was spot on, no loud music while eating, twinkling fairly lights and intimate dining
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonFood was good. Menu could do with an update but we couldn’t fault the quality. Staff were fantastic, friendly, easy going and professional
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonReturn visit on 7th to meet friends, staff very welcoming, but rushed us through the whole evening. Food was of high quality, very enjoyable but seemed to us, the same menu as when we visited in November. Pricing is what you expect with the economic environment we are now faced with. A few tweaks, and it could take a lot of beating!
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonThe Pheasant is superb. The rural location, good parking, delightful decor, quality service, superior menu and a sirloin cooked to perfection are just a few reasons why I have been coming to this restaurant for 20 odd years. Not forgetting the excellent wines (the Sancerre is divine) and the sumptuous desserts are a must.
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonHad a two course meal on Saturday 1st April. I had the butternet squash tart with feta - it was okay. Had chips and buttered veg. My partner had the chicken (requested no sauce) and had new potatoes. Overall, I'd say for the cost, the food was lacking in flavour, there were no herbs on the potatoes or the tart and was bland. The desserts were however very good (Tiramisu and stick toffee pudding). Had two glasses of wine and an OJ and lemonade and the bill was £95. I did ask for the risotto and asked if they could not add mushrooms (am vege so limited on menu choice and they coulnd't accommodate) hence going for the tart. Didn't think it would be a massive issue to remove mushrooms but seemingly was. Service was basic - brought out the food, took the plates away. Had no salt in the shaker (bottom was missing) and they just took it and replaced it without a word. I've not been to the Pheasant for years and remember it being very good. The food was no different to basic pub food and will not be returning (disappointed to say as was really looking forward to it). For the money spent, much rather go to PalMichael in Burton Latimer or Ascoughs in MH which for the price is similar and much more value and you're looked after. Very disappointed.
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonWonderful welcome from Carol and her team and superb service throughout. Great menu with good range of choices and really good quality food and wine.
