The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonA really good Saturday lunch for 3 yesterday at the Pheasant. The food was interesting (something for all tastes we thought), well prepared, and well presented. Service was very friendly but discreet. Wine list comprehensive and excellent (as many times previously). The restaurant didn't put a foot wrong so nothing negative to report.......
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonFirst visit last weekend and really impressed by the food and timely and attentive service. Great choice of drinks (beers & Spirits) and Hendricks served correctly with cucumber. Looking forward to returning soon.
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonExcellent service and food Roast sirloin was lovely And the crumble pudding was delicious Thanks
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonGreat meal in a quaint little village local. Food was incredible and the service was perfect. We were bought the meal as a gift for Christmas but we will certainly be back!
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonGreat food, great team, great atmosphere - hugely enjoyable lunch.
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonOverall disappointing based on previous visits over the years. I thought the menu was quite uninspiring. Previous visits have included much wider and locally sourced ingredients. My wife’s steak was full of grizzle and the waitress was not interested when we gave this feedback. The pheasant used to be a destination restaurant however sadly in our opinion it’s no where near what it used to be. Appreciate the current challenge with food sourcing and finding quality chefs - both of which seem apparent problems.
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonWe had a very enjoyable lunch between Christmas and New Year. Starters, main and puddings were enjoyed by all diners with enough vegetables served. Nicely presented. Staff attentive but you were not rushed and given plenty of time to digest between courses.
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonWe went to the Pheasant for dinner for the first time and we were not disappointed. Everything was lovely and well worth the money. Our 5 year old ate every bit of his meal and then some. We have already recommended it to others and will definitely return.
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonService attention a bit erratic but food fine,
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonWe had another excellent Christmas Day lunch and they were very accommodating, even putting Christmas pudding on the menu for us as we had so enjoyed it last year. Staff were well trained and very friendly we had a lovely time and food was very good as usual
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonHappy smiley staff, good quality food and range of drinks- incl non alcoholic for the drivers amongst us!!
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonExcellent food and service. 3rd visit in a month and nothing to disappoint.
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonIs it so nice to find a traditional pub nowadays like the Pheasant, although we have been using it for over 40 years on and off. As ever the staff were pleasant and attentive, but we were very disappointed with the meal. We chose the 3 course set menu, so not the most expensive on the menu which had some XMAS choices. The main dish Turkey escallops, were a tad chewy and the pitiful amount of mash and veg that was served with it was shameful. We had one drink each and the bill came to £85 with a tip. Now when the pub itself is looking a little tired and worse for wear and was not very warm, we felt it was well overpriced for the small amount of food we received. We will see if we choose to visit again in the near year.
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonOh dear! We love going to the Pheasant but how disappointed were we yesterday lunchtime. The welcome and service was excellent as usual but some of my favourites were not on the set menu, and only a few choices were available. The starters were good but very small portions, the main course of two turkey escallops we’re chewy and small, with half a dozen Brussels and a spoonful of chestnut mash ☹️. Pudding was very good thank goodness as was the wine, but I was really cold as the fire I was sitting by was out! I sincerely hope that if we visit again in the new year things improve as the peasant is our go to restaurant for a treat, be it a very expensive one at the moment.
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonA beautiful Christmas Eve meal was had by us all in our party. The pheasant was very busy but this did not affect the service and quality, Food was excellent as always so thank you Zoe and Martin and team pheasant You always deliver top class service, We will see you in the new year x
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonWe visited the Pheasant for an Anniversary lunch. I had the soup, salmon for main & a chocolate pud. My husband had the smoked haddock pot, venison sausages for main & he says the best bread & butter pudding he has tasted. The staff are very friendly & cannot fault the professionalism of the chef. Such a charming village restaurant to visit.
The Pheasant at Keyston – HuntingdonThe staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, served promptly and looked beautiful. Will definitely go back in the New Year, great to have such a nice local pub
