We had a super lunch as usual, thank you. Excellent food, beautifully presented and perfectly paced. We had Procuitto and Black pudding followed by Sea Bass and Beouf Burgigon pudding. See you soon.

Great evening relaxing and eating outside. Very friendly and attentive staff. Good food and wine. Planning a business lunch at The Pheasant as a result.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly attentive but not intrusive staff. Very nice food, great that there was a set price lunch option too, that also had nice options, not dross. An excellent lunch.

Lovely food, great service what more can you ask for. A lovely Sunday lunch with some different dishes, beautifully prepared, cooked and presented. Staff very attentive.

Very friendly welcome with prompt service. Great food, Grilled chicken skewers with rainbow slaw was superb as was the pan fried Sea Bass. The batter on the cod was so light and crispy and perfectly cooked.

An outstanding meal. 4 of us plus 2 children. The adults had 3 different starters, 4 different mains, 2 puds. Not a single criticism, and an amazingly good value Amarone. I live virtually next door to a very well known and successful gastropub, but the Pheasant is at a superior level altogether.

Lunch with Friends on Wednesday 8th June 2022.Excellent food and service, really enjoyable experience. Have usually gone on a weekend but will go again midweek as a bit less full which added to the experience.

It had been several years since we last visited The Pheasant and was pleased with the changes that had taken place both inside and out The Food was excellent and service was of a high standard Will visit again and it will not be as long MMA

We were expecting great things given the reviews but this was not the case. The table and carpet were grubby as were the loos which had overflowing towel baskets. The staff shouted to attract each other and the view from our table was of a store room and milk bottle on the bar. The staff were poorly trained but nice. My husbands suet pudding was good my liver swimming in curry sauce was very odd. Waited an age to pay the bill and left cash in the end because no one around to sort. I have subsequently asked to speak to the owner to offer constructive comment but she has so far not called which says a lot.

Just the two of us this time, although we knew some people on the adjacent table (6people) We love the calm atmosphere both in the bar and in the restaurant. We appreciate good food and both chose the Venison and suet pudding as our main course, delicious! To start. Baked goats cheese with a Waldorf salad with added balsamic, again, so delicious! All in all, a comfortable, and enjoyable lunch, we must do it more often. You will soon be celebrating your first year, Congratulations...........

Amazing food. I came on 20th may and the food and atmosphere was exactly as you would expect from a quaint village pub/restaurant. Absolutely wonderful meal and generally very good service. My only issue is that I asked twice that my coffee be served WITH the dessert and not after. That is even typed on the till receipt. Coffee arrived 13 minutes after the desserts which included a melting Sorbet ball, so I had to eat it before it's arrival. It's the little things that annoy me the most I am afraid :-)

We came in for dinner with friends , the lady behind the bar seemed confused and agitated that we were there, dispite me booking online . I asked if we could sit outside and she huffed and said that she couldnt have staff trot out just to us and that she wouldn’t open the doors as was too cold. It was 19 ! The wait service again very rude and dismissive ! We loved the food as it’s always impeccable and have loved going there but won’t be going back after last night. Shame really

We came here with two friends and found the menu excellent . The staff were very pleasant and the food was definitely a cut above normal pub food. We had travelled nearly an hour but it was definitely worth it and we will do it again.

Came for lunch on Saturday 14th May. My wife was a bit disappointed as we came for the beef bourbignon suet pudding that was on the online menu but on arrival it wasn’t on the menu on the day. We know the menu is subject to change but none the less…. The food the both of us did choose though was very nice. Both in presentation and of taste etc. The restaurant wasn’t that busy inside because it was a lovely day and we thought the service was just a tad on the slow side but that could’ve been because there were a lot of tables to tend to outside but all the staff were very friendly. We will go back again and see if we can time it right to get the suet pudding we went for originally. Lovely food and staff. Recommended.
