Boverton Castle – CowbridgeWe have just returned from a weeks holiday in Tenby, the Candy restaurant was our favourite by far, it offered a wide choice of meals that were well prepared and presented and very good value for money. If you were lucky enough to get a table by the window, the views over the bay were really nice. The staff were pleasant and attentive. We shall certainly return.
Candy Restaurant, The – TenbyReally well worth the visit. Suggest omitting a 'Starter' and having a gorgeous dessert instead ( or in addition ).
Whittington Arms – NeathWe went to this lovely place and had a fabulous meal. We would definitely be going back.
La Trattoria – PontyclunNot the place to go if you're looking for a quick bite with the family but if you want to savour taste in quiet & comfortable surroundings, it's well worth a visit!
The Bell at Skenfrith – AbergavennyAfter a busy day of sight seeing in Cardiff, our evening meal at Bellini's was the perfect way to end it. The food was outstanding, the service impeccable and the price was reasonable. This restaurant is a must for any Italian cuisine fan. Highly recommend the Cabonbara, but beware! Pasta dishes are very large and some what filling! All in all a good quality Italian restaurant that I will visit on many more occasions.
Bellinis – CardiffGreat personal service, interesting and tasty dishes. Broad vegetarian menu (order the mock duck appetizer !) Alan the owner always makes you feel at home and special. Would recommend it to anyone!
Golden Well Restaurant – BridgendI have eaten at the Friars a number of times and the food and service have always been excellent. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable.
Friars Vaults – HaverfordwestIf you want a friendly, traditional welsh pub, then the Freemasons is the one to visit. Only a small area with tables, so pop in on your way past to book. The food is traditional, but never has a 'pre cooked' taste. Very popular with people staying in holiday cottages. Always a warm welcome, and very happy to have children. The most family friendly pub in Dinas Cross.
Freemasons Arms Hotel – NewportIn my opinion this is one of the best eateries in the area,, excellent family atmosphere,, cater's i feel for everyone's need's,,, a wide variety to choose from, i would recommend Badger's to anyone,,, the Sunday lunch ,,, well you have to go there to believe it yourself,,, (nearly forgot home made chips)
Badgers Bar and Brasserie – AmmanfordAnn excellent pub/restaurant. Good guest beers and interesting and excellent food
Bunch of Grapes – Pontypriddits the best Japanese restaurant in cardiff! ive been there many times since its opening and has been excellent every time I eat there. atmosphere is very outstanding too!
Ichiban – CardiffWith a good view of the beach front and nice colour decoration its a great atmosphere, with easy access through port Talbot. The staff are nice, friendly and great at their jobs. My meats are always cooked the way I ask for them and I have never sent any food back to the chef. Sides are of a good portion and you don? wait long between each course unless you wish. The deserts are good but the Joes ice cream is a must. As for drinks if you are the driver stay on the caned soft drinks as pump is tasteless, but I recommend the Californian wine is very nice at £15 a bottle. With artist's on the weekends you must book but if you are travelling a distance always book! As it? getting full all the time. And finally leave a nice tip if you agree.
Bar Gallois – Port TalbotThe quality and presentation of the food was excellent. I had been told that the service would be slow, but as we were chatting I didn't notice how long we waited. A very extensive menu in choice and price. Will definitely visits the Gradon in the future.
Gradon, The – NeathI Have had numerous Sunday lunches at the Smiths, but have not tried it during the daytime. Sunday lunches are very popular and deservedly so. The choice and quality of the food is very good, and the surroundings in the dining room are very relaxing. Well worth a visit.
Smiths Arms – NeathA friendly welcome from landlord and landlady - good choice of food and real ales - have been a number of times and the welcome and quality never falter. If you are looking for a genuine county pub then i would recommend this. Well worth a visit.
Brockweir Country Inn, The – ChepstowA real old fashioned pub full of character serving real ale and good pub food. Very helpful and friendly landlord and landlady..worth a visit
Brockweir Country Inn, The – Chepstowthe staff were very professional, we were served quickly but yet not at the cost of friendliness. we were impressed by the comfy leather sofas and the music choice was excellent. highly recommended to chill with a coffee whilst watching the world go by!
