Badgers Bar and Brasserie – AmmanfordThe food here is high quality and there is a wide range of traditional and modern dishes on the menu to choose from. A popular restaurant where it is essential to book a table at weekends. Located far enough away from any pubs to avoid the late night drunken customers that many Indian restaurants attract. On a Sunday the restaurant does an All-You-Can-Eat buffet for £10 and the quality of the food is equal to that ordered off the menu on any other day, while also offering a wide choice of starters and mains.
The Cinnamon Tree – PontypriddFrom the moment we entered to the time that we left everything was perfect. From food to the service. Well done. Definitely be back.
Scalinis Restaurant – CardiffGreat hosts Nice ambiance and good atmosphere Food top notch Best in Bridgend Guaranteed no idiots on premises
Foxs Wine Bar – Bridgendwe eat here everyday the choice is extensive and prices are very fair
Coracle, The – SwanseaFantastic quality food in a contemporary Oriental setting. Huge choice of Thai, Peking, Cantonese dishes, beers and wines. Highly recommended for a special night out.
Brunswick Oriental Restaurant – Merthyr TydfilThe best restaurant I've eaten in a long time, i will always eat there from now on.
Simla Brasserie Tandoori Restaurant – NeathThis little pub in a small village just outside of Carmarthen on the main run to Cardiff is a real gem of a find. The food is fantastic but at prices that are no different to any other pub where you might just be served with 'pub grub'. It has a friendly Landlord and Landlady along with the bar and serving staff. It also has an affable Welshness which would please most travellers looking for a quaint well managed country pub. In the colder weather it also has that one feature that so many pubs lack....a beautiful log fire. A must place to go and a 'wonderful find'.
Butchers Arms – CarmarthenGreat food, friendly service and reasonably priced. A lot more real and down to earth than that overpriced place on the Downs (naming no names!). Better food too.
Balti House of Cowbridge, The – CowbridgePica Pica is a newly opened tapas bar on Westgate Street, Cardiff. The staff are friendly and helpful and it has a sophisticated yet cosy interior. There are four large vaulted rooms with two bars, areas to sip cocktails, quiet romantic corners with couches and areas for friends to gather. The menu has an extensive selection of Mediterranean tapas at very reasonable prices (£1 - 3). Classics such as tortilla patata and marinated olives are offered but my curiosity was gripped by the skewered dates in bacon which I highly recommend, as well as the sweet potato wedges and the Moroccan spiced prawns. The bar staff offer a great selection of cocktails and as with the food - you will find many with a contemporary twist.
Pica Pica Mediterranean Tapas Bar – CardiffGood quality food at great price and very comfortable, clean and spacious surroundings.
Anarkali Tandoori Restaurant – SwanseaThis restaurant is 1 of a kind the food is amazing the atmosphere is excellent and the waiters are fairly good except one of the teenage waiters they have, he? usually on the bar but we got chatting and he? a really funny guy the sort that make you feel welcome, tried to hook him up with my daughter but he was taken. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Llanelli
Bengal Lancer – LlanelliLovely atmosphere- nice decor and a cosy size. Food has been excellent every time I've been, and I've returned many times. I recommend their lamb dishes- never tasted a better version, no chewy meat, just a succulent joy for the taste buds!
Balti Cuisine, The – CardiffA good selection of fresh local produce was on offer, lots of one to one contact with staff and owner Mr Williams, fine selection of wines. Over all very impressed for a restaurant in the middle of the sticks run by a farmer cum chef! Well worth the time by stopping off for a meal.
