I would not waste your time going to this restaurant! I spend a lot of time eating out with family and have never come across somewhere which is so badly run and disorganised I will be telling friends and family to stay well clear! Over an hour wait for food which finally turned up stone cold no apology for the long wait and the manager could not even be bothered to come and listen to our complaints.

Kings Arms – Caerphilly

we did visit the bailey arms the first day after reopening and came back several times after. the food gets better and better, we cannot wait to taste the Christmas specials! great value for money and very welcoming too, also for families with children or (elderly) with special diets.

Star Club, The – Treharris
Chris Bligh - Guernsey

I strongly recommend The Halfway Inn,Nantgaredig. We call in every year when on holiday in Dryslwyn, from Guernsey. The staff are most considerate towards us as my husband has difficulty moving around. They are always able to accommodate him at our special table! They are also ready to help us with a Christmas gift for friends in the line of a voucher.Well done all of you and see you again in 2011.

Our recent visit for Sunday lunch, was our first, but will not be our last. We were a large party, the service and food were excellent. We were still talking about it days later. We do not live local, but agreed we would definitely travel to eat here.

Llanwenarth Hotel and Riverside Restaurant – Abergavenny

I went there for my 21st, several Christmas office parties and also after my parents renewal of vows. The scenery was amazing and the food was exquisite. Perhaps the portions could be slightly larger? The bread is always fresh and the squid is amazing. The lunchtime menus are very good for budget occasions!

Bosphorus Turkish Restaurant – Cardiff

I recommend that the Welsh Ex-servicemen's association club be given back to the people of Crumlin as a club , for the people as it has been since the second world war , where our men of Crumlin was sent to war for none to return and the name WEXA given to the club for any welsh military to come to the club with welcomed opened arms by the people of Crumlin Knowing our family members would never come home to the WEXA club , we had lost family sent into battle .Keeping staff member of lost relatives behind the bar at all times For any ex or serving military to come there to relax . Until low life maggots came and seeing the club had no one of strength to bother them used another lowlife millionaire friend to release the deeds from the brewery for the now owners to come and buy it off their friend and turn it into a pub for them and their friends as the local people look on in disgust and despair at these people who became members of the club run it into the ground and pushed every one out as everyone disliked being around the slimy pair who said it could never earn then buys it off their friend who they brought in to release the deeds for them to buy it off him . With so many of our military dieing in the country it would be poetic to see our forces come to the club and see the maggots that have taken away the local peoples bit of sanctuary as they grieved their loss of their family members waiting to see and support any soldier ex or serving from the the country.

Not Recommended " Toby Jug - Rip Off" BEWARE THE FINAL BILL OUR BILL FOR FIVE TOTALLED £157.38 We were lured to the Toby Carvery, Cardiff Gate by a flier offer "Daytime carvery only £5.25". The maî·tre d', asked the age of our 11 year old daughter and stated that she would have to have an adult portion. Our small framed daughter is barely 11 and her appetite is normally well serviced by a childs portion! We orderd a drinks of "pop" in an effort to keep the overall bill down. Returning to the table with our choosen food, we asked the waitress for a plate for our 3 year old daughter. To be told if she was not in a high chair a childrens meal cover charge would be added to the bill. In attempt to challenge this as our 3 year old had already eaten "tea" at 4pm we were told that we could speak to the manager, whom was on break and anyway had never changed her mind before!! In great dismay, we cunningly selected a childs veggie option to minimise the hit on the bill! We actually all enjoyed our meals, even attempting to clear our 11 year olds enormous portion of meat, to save it being wasted as she physically could not eat it all, far to much for her. We asked for the bill and was told that the current deal was for a two coure carvery at £7. As we unfortunately had forgotten the flier we did not challenge this, my wife ordered coffee, myself ice cream, the kids chocolate brownies. The bill on arrival was £48.00 a far cry from the four £5.25's that we were anticipating! We were horrified to learn the pop was £2.20 even for our 3 year old, as it was bottomless and she could have had as much as she wanted! Additionally the childeren's dessert selection was an additional £1 as it was not in the deal! I paid up and we left in reasonably good spirits, I commented to the wife and children "well done to the marketeers - their offer had caught us hook line and sinker!". I have now received a "Parking Charge Notice" from Parking Eye for £90 as it appears that we should have paid to park outside your pub, from 18.02 to 18.49, barely 3/4 of an hour!! Additionally an Invoice from Volvo Business Partner Leasing for a £29.38, an administration charge for their providing driver details to the Legacy Hotel Group. It was twilight when we visited The Carvery, for the first time I would additionally point out. We saw nothing that lead us to believe that car parking charges were in force and certainly non of the staff that served us informed us of such a system. BEWARE THE FINAL BILL OUR BILL FOR FIVE TOTALLED £157.38

Best Meals In Porthcawl

The Rock Inn – Porthcawl
Patricia Jenkins

We have been visiting this restaurant for the last 12 months and would have highly recommended it until last night. We went and had a meal there as usual and were really disappointed in the portions given and the price charged my husband had tandoori mushrooms to start and this was just 3 small mushrooms at a cost of 3.50 I had a chicken tikka starter and this consisted of 3 very finely carved pieces of chicken the main dishes we noticed seemed to be halved and the cost for 3 came to 73.00 needless to say we will not be making it our favourite restaurant in the future

Spice Merchant Cardiff Bay – Cardiff

Probably the best restaurant in the area, good atmosphere, brilliant food and a great governor, the only place that sells Metaxa!

Foxs Wine Bar – Bridgend

The best Thai in Swansea with out a doubt ! My partner and I have been to Bayview about a dozen times and the service and food is always 10/10. Love the Thai Fish Cakes, Sweetcorn Cakes, Pad Ki Mao and the chef does daily specials as well. Can't wait to go back

I have been to Ichiban many times and only thing I can do is to recommend. The food quality and quantity is great. The service is friendly and ladies are always happy to help. I have taken many of my friends there and all of them were happy for choice.
