Never, ever had a bad meal in all the years I’ve visited - truly the best Italian in Carlisle. The staff are always so lovely and attentive, the food is always delicious and fantastic value for money, and the restaurant itself is so cozy and intimate. Every time I go I always have the chocolate fudge cake for pudding - it is to die for!

The food was overcooked and i had to ask for it to be remade. The fish board was smaller and considering it’s advertised as a shatter there were only 3 prawns so we had to share 1 ! The music was far too loud and the service average whereas previously the staff were very attentive.

Sage and Vine – CarlisleStaying overnight nearby and found the highly rated Sage & Vine on Google Maps, so booked a table for 3 online. Made most welcome upon our arrival and selected 6 tapas dishes to share from the specials board and from the regular menu. Not disappointed, well presented and delicious. We then followed up with a "Local" pizza to share and again an excellent Italian style thin based pizza cooked in the wood fired oven. A very enjoyable evening and we promise to return.
