just had a very pleasant meal at brewers fayre with very friendly staff
Brewers Fayre – CarlisleWe have now eaten at Keez several times and have enjoyed every occasion. The food is always varied, as well as being nicely cooked and presented. Service is excellent without making you feel pressurised or neglected. I have no hesitation in recommending it as a place to eat, and the mid week deals represent really good value for money.
Keez Bistro – CarlisleFantails oozes real olde worlde charm. An ancient building packed with interesting artefacts and nooks and cranies. The food was first class as you would expect from a place that has been going 18 years in the same hands. Hearty British food in a very welcoming environment. A must if in Carlisle area.
Fantails Restaurant – CarlisleSuperior Deli restaurant. Nipped in for a bite for lunch and was surprised at the quality. I don't come across gourmet Greek restaurants on my travels in this country. They all seem a bit of a novelty, playing on the Brits just back from their hols mentality. Alexandros is a serious venue that seems to take great care in what it produces and serves. Friendly helpful lady served too.
Alexandros – Carlislefood excellent but watch out for the drinks sting £1.40 for cans of pop and £2.00 for small bottles of coke. water £1.70 high way robbery 17 7 11
Original John’s Place – CarlisleCheck out the Viceroy in Carlisle for Christmas Lunch! This year, my favourite curry house is offering a choice of traditional Christmas lunch or something with a bit more spice on Christmas day for under £16 per person!! Vegetarian options of course!
The Viceroy – Carlislewonderful meal in a lovely restaurant with friendly service.
Ristorante Michelangelo – CarlisleFantastic Bangladeshi food. Try the super hot 'vindaroo'....dedicated to Wayne Rooney! Also, Wednesdays and Sundays there are special menu deals on offer! If you go, tell them Mark from Aspatria recommended them!!
The Viceroy – CarlisleSTAY AWAY IS ALL I CAN SAY . SOGGY BATTER AND GREASY CHIPS DONT KNOW WHAT ALL FUSS WAS ABOUT . WONT BE GOING BACK . STAFF MEMBER THAT SERVED US WAS RUDE AND INPATIENT WITH MY ELDERLY MOTHER NOT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Original John’s Place – CarlisleA great boozer with a landlord reminiscent of the bald guy out of Goonies. Highly recommended and popular real pub.
Kings Head The – CarlisleIn Carlisle for a Xmas shopping trip and found Keez on Internet, location ideal as only 100 metres from back of Ibis hotel. One of the best restaurants we have visited with friendly staff and delicious food, no pressure to move on to next course. Although the festive period and Xmas menu it was varied enough-problem was which meal to choose all looked very good. Certainly will go out of our way to visit again when in Carlisle and recommend to friends.
Keez Bistro – Carlislewe love it!!
Holme Bistro – CarlisleGreat pub. Food good. At those prices. Very Very good. It short. I cook myself and we have all been to places where, we have paid and thought i could do better myself. Rump steak £5 Gammon £5 etc Enjoy
Beehive The – CarlisleWe love this restaurant - its very relaxed and informal which is how Greek dining should be. The food is first class and I just wish we could go every week! Its always busy but that doesn't detract from the attention to detail and friendliness of the staff.
Alexandros – CarlisleWe went to Michaelangelo's for our wedding breakfast and it was absolutely perfect! The food was delicious, the service was some of the friendliest I've ever experienced, and they made our evening amazing. We had given them some decorations to make the area we had reserved special (we were sitting in an alcove that was part of the restaurant, that made it a little bit more private for our group). I had an image in my head of how I would have done the decorations (like any bride I wanted everything to be just how I wanted it!), but when we got there it was done up much more beautifully than I had imagined. They'd obviously put a lot of effort and care into it and we really appreciated it. Everyone in our party enjoyed the night and the food very much, and we send a big thank you to the staff there!
Ristorante Michelangelo – CarlisleVisited Michelangelos for a post wedding dinner for 12 people. The best word to describe the whole experience is Outstanding. I suppose we were not the typical group of diners as we were celebrating a wedding, however from the moment we discussed the booking a few weeks ago to signing the bill, everything was first class. Seated in a delightful semi-private area, our table had been dressed up with style to reflect the occasion. We supplied all the trimmings, balloons/cake/candles etc and felt a slight embarrassed that we were asking maybe a little too much from the staff. Everyone in the restaurant were delighted to help make this a night to remember. The food was fantastic of which all of our party agreed. I had the scallops which are to die for, please try them. The service was attentive and genuine. Michelangelos is a lovely restaurant very close to the station and is quite imposing once inside. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the restaurant and particularly the food. I must give special mention to Krystal who handled all of our numerous requests with a smile and very pleasing manner. Oh! and thanks for the complimentary bottle of bubbly. Can`t wait to go back again next time over in Carlisle. In fact bride and groom plan to have anniversary there in years to come.
Ristorante Michelangelo – CarlisleWe have eaten at Giannis 3 times. The first 2 were on quieter week days. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, and the food was average (what you'd expect from a small diner) and priced to match. For example we ordered some olives and were given a plate of microwaved, tinned black olives with a bit of butter over them. The 3rd time we went, it was a Saturday. We were sent upstairs to a busy bar to wait for seats. After 10 mins we were briskly taken to our table. This time we felt very rushed. Our main course arrived as soon as our starters were taken off our table (about 15 mins after ordering). We had calzone pizzas and were upset to find that they weren't cooked properly. They were filled with raw onions and mushrooms, and the cheese had not fully melted. We therefore did not eat our pizzas, and did not pay for them as we were not offered any replacement and were told they actually were cooked. We have never been back.
Giannis Pizzeria – Carlislewonderful place to take the kids they loved it and the food wasn't bad too.not to expensive and the kids can play while waiting for the food.
