Keez Bistro – CarlisleMy wife and I first discovered Keez because we were looking for a place to go for a change of scenery and somewhere nice to eat to celebrate our anniversary. We were not disappointed! We went on a Wednesday night. They have specials on Tuesday & Wednesday. 2 courses and a bottle of wine for £35. This is really good value for money and the food was extremely nice. Keez has a lovely relaxing atmosphere with a really nice welcome from Lou & Ian the owners. Since going to Keez that night we have become regular visitors to the Bistro. Friday night steak night is great. Home made steak and chips for £8.95 as well as the ever changing menu to choose from. The menu does change every month with something different to try and something that would probably suite most people. They have a great selection of hand picked wines as well as a very enjoyable house wine. Please try it for yourself and I am sure you wont be disappointed.
Keez Bistro – CarlisleThe fact that my wife and me make a 130 mile round trip to eat at this fine restaurant is proof enough of our liking for its exceptional food and atmosphere. We are always made welcome and the attention to our culinary requirements is first class. Please do not let the "corner shop" exterior blind you to the delights that await inside
Alexandros – CarlisleI would say this was one of the best Italian restaurants i have been to. Having an Italian family I know the taste of real Italian food. the food was of excellent quality and the atmosphere was very relaxed. a high class restaurant and certainly worth a visit.
Gallo Rosso – Carlisleharry the geordie manager great lad !made us welcome also a good joke teller food very good value for money try the gammon and chips
Howard Arms – CarlisleTop quality food, the steaks are particularly good. Toto the manager is very friendly and welcoming. The only downside are the chairs and tables which are a little small and uncomfortable (cafe style). The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food. We revisit regularly and no complaints yet. Thoroughly recommend.
Casa Romana – Carlisle – CarlisleCafe style and sounds French but the food is international and includes English dishes. Very pleasant atmosphere and not too expensive for good quality food. Happy to just do you just a starter if you're not too hungry. Town centre location with no parking.
Le Gall – CarlisleGreat place great food great staff, we all had a fantastic evening
Lynebank House – Hotel & Restaurant – CarlisleGreat place great food great staff, we all had a fantastic evening
Lynebank House – Hotel & Restaurant – CarlisleLovely food, nice building and atmosphere. Best garlic bread in town!
Ristorante Michelangelo – CarlisleFood sucks but the barmen are absolutely Amazing, Adam and Adam combine to make one of the more spectacular drinking venues around Cumbria. The only place I have been so far that stirs Martini's.
Unit Lux Bar – CarlisleFood was amazing - proper Italian taste. Could do with having candles, Italian music to create more of an Italian ambience. Will be back again!
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleNice food, nice location - just out of the way.
Ristorante Michelangelo – CarlisleWow! we found this place by accident, it is an English cafe/bistro, we tried the day menu on it you will find a selection of food i recommend the steak and ale pie ( If You can get one ) i have never seen such big chunks of steak! The Big Breakfast is the best in town. The sticky toffee pudding i can still taste now it was fantastic. They are open on an evening too so we tried it then as well and we were not disappointed the menu was a la carte and worth every penny, the wine list was quite reasonable too. EVERYONE MUST TRY THIS PLACE ! CARLISLE HAS A NEW BISTRO GO TRY IT!
The Dining Room – CarlisleThis place is one of the best curry houses in Cumbria. It is friendly, the service and food are both good. Try the Chicken Pathia, it's tasty!
Viceroy – CarlisleOne of Cumbria's best kept secrets. The food here is great and the atmosphere is good. Due to it's location (near all the busy bars and clubs), not one for young kids later on during the weekends I'd say. Staff are friendly and helpful. The Bollywood Special is great!
Shaha – Carlislea very nice and modern pub with terrific bar staff to make you feel warm and welcome.
The Thin White Duke – CarlisleGiannis is a great restaurant. You are made to feel at home and the food is lovely and inexpensive.
