Andalusian – CarlisleFab fab fab what a burger xx
The Thin White Duke – CarlisleI have just attended a funeral wake and have left extremely embarrassed as myself and my husband were told to sit separately from each other even though there was a set table still available. I explained that i did not want to sit apart from my husband as we we did not know the people we were been asked to sit with. We have ended up just leaving instead and my husband could not pay his respects to his Aunt.
Greysteads Hotel – CarlisleI was recommended by a friend to visit this restaurant. Without doubt, this is the best Indian restaurant I have ever had the pleasure to visit. The staff were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, they truly make the experience great. The owner/chef is in a different league to the general run of the mill, his passion is clearly visible in the love he adds to his wonderf ul cuisine!! He really cares about his customers and came out to speak with us asking what we like most. It's so rare to see such passion and care. I sincerely recommend this beautiful, spotlessly clean establishment. Book early!! The people of Carlisle know how good this place is and it fills up quickly!!!
Bari – CarlisleI visited Carlisle yesterday 31.5.14 with my family. We had a very nice meal. The girls were helpful and friendly. My husband and I had the lasagne it was piping hot and tasty. My sister had the chicken breast with salad and veg she said it was lovely. My brother-in-law had the gammon he said was also good and all reasonably priced. Would recommend to any one.
Le Gall – CarlisleOne of best meals I have ever had at the Harraby Inn. Stayed 2 nights the room was spotless!!! Lovely friendly pub definitley recommend
Harraby Pub and Kitchen – CarlisleFantastic lunch, not expensive, superb celeriac pear soup with croutons, homemade bread, interesting wine list available BY THE GLASS,lovely house, friendly people.
Davids – CarlisleA lovely place,we call every time we stay in Carlisle, good food, excellent service very friendly, good value!
Castlegate Coffee House – CarlisleBest fish n chips for miles :)
Original John’s Place – CarlisleWe stayed at the hotel the night before my sons wedding, the staff could not have been more helpful, they even supplied a room for the Bride to change into her gown, The food was delicious, and the accomodation was great. Non of us could find a negative thing to say. Thank you again for making a special weekend even better.
Pinegrove Hotel – CarlisleValentines night was amazing, Superb food and service with a smile . Left wondering how they did it for the price. well done!
Gallo Rosso – CarlisleI have lived at Hursby for fifteen years and the fish and chips we got today at 13th October were at best bad greasy. Very small portions and more batter than Fish
Original John’s Place – CarlisleI had to do a 500 word restaurant review for my assignment. I choose Pompeii because i'd never been there before. I found the large to be very friendly and helpful. I ordered a Bistro Rump Fillet steak which arrived on a lava stone plate. My steak sizzled away in front of me.And for dessert Pimms Jelly which had small pieces of strawberries inside, next to it was a large scoop of mint ice cream. This was all washed down with a decent bottle of wine. And may i add that from the moment you sit down , you feel relaxed and comfortable in your surroundings. Without a doubt i will be going again.
The Pompeii Steakhouse – CarlisleBy far the best Italian restaurant in the lisle! Exsiquite, Traditional Italian cooked food in a great atmosphere for a brilliant price with great staff to boot... I will be back
La Mezzaluna – Carlislejust had a very pleasant meal at brewers fayre with very friendly staff
Brewers Fayre – CarlisleWe have now eaten at Keez several times and have enjoyed every occasion. The food is always varied, as well as being nicely cooked and presented. Service is excellent without making you feel pressurised or neglected. I have no hesitation in recommending it as a place to eat, and the mid week deals represent really good value for money.
Keez Bistro – CarlisleFantails oozes real olde worlde charm. An ancient building packed with interesting artefacts and nooks and cranies. The food was first class as you would expect from a place that has been going 18 years in the same hands. Hearty British food in a very welcoming environment. A must if in Carlisle area.
Fantails Restaurant – CarlisleSuperior Deli restaurant. Nipped in for a bite for lunch and was surprised at the quality. I don't come across gourmet Greek restaurants on my travels in this country. They all seem a bit of a novelty, playing on the Brits just back from their hols mentality. Alexandros is a serious venue that seems to take great care in what it produces and serves. Friendly helpful lady served too.
Alexandros – Carlisle3 small plates or side dishes for £23, valid Tuesday to Friday 12 noon to 5pm.
A selection of dishes sold at a fixed price of £11.50 between 11:30am - 1:30pm and 5:00pm - 6:30pm.
