My favourite Italian restaurant in Chester. I always love coming here as Sam makes us feel so special every time we visit. We have been coming a few years now and have seen how successful he has become which is a testament to the delicious food and excellent service.

Carbonara at No 49 – ChesterOur table of four people all agreed the food was excellent. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel extremely welcome. The dog friendly seating area is brilliant and they made our pooches equally as welcome as the humans ;o) We will be back very soon!!

The owner and the family really make you feel welcomed and stepping inside a little piece of Italy. We prefer the independent restaurants who give you that extra. We’ll be back for more.

The Egerton Arms Broxton – ChesterThis was our first visit to Carbonara at no 49 and it definately wont be the last .We were greeted by very friendly staff and the owner made a point of coming to speak to us A very relaxed atmosphere and the food was great ,the carbobnara was amazing and everything was freshly served .The waiter who we learned was the owners son was very friendly and made sure everything was ok with our meal A lovely way to spend a couple of hours .Will definately go back
