This is fast becoming our favourite place to eat. Once again a fab evening of amazing food and excellent service. A great place to celebrate our wedding anniversary Yeh thanks all.

Enjoyed a lovely family meal here on the 14.8.21. Excellent food, great service and the kids meals were very generous. Lovely to have the outdoor area for the kids to run and play whilst we chatted and had drinks. Will definitely be back again.

Excellent meal will return again.

01/08/2021 I had Sunday lunch with my family (28 of us) to celebrate my 60th birthday. Service really good and the food delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The children were a bit disappointed that the play area was closed, but there was still plenty of outdoor space for them to play. A very enjoyable afternoon. Thank you.

We really enjoyed our meal. The service was great. We felt that the timing was good we were not rushed but neither did we feel that we were waiting overly long for our food. The quality of our meals was superb. My husband had the fishcake from the Specials menu and he said it was the best he has ever eaten out - and he has had a few! I had the sweet and sour chicken and it was great, the rice was well cooked, there was plenty of chicken and the sauce was very tasty. The pavlova we had for desert was wonderful. Portion sizes were very generous too. We will be back soon.

Staff were very pleasant and we were given a lovely table outside in the shade as requested. Service was quite slow though and we did feel at times that we'd been forgotten about. We would probably have stayed for puddings and coffee if the service had been better. Three of our four meals were lovely and offered really good value for money but the 'Cod Burger' was not as anticipated. It was quite spicy and didn't taste at all 'meaty' and seemed to have mushrooms in it- we did wonder at one point if the plant burger had been served by mistake. However, when we asked the waitress about this, she confirmed it was the right one. Whilst we appreciate the burger is your own recipe, we are of the opinion that the description on the menu needs to be more specific. We did report our disappointment to the waitress and she was very very apologetic and called the manager who was similarly apologetic and said they would take the feedback on board.

Easy to book on line. Service was excellent. Chicken Czar Salad lovely. Everywhere clean and tidy.

Excellent. We were visiting the area for a wedding and The Codrington Arms was in walking distance from where we were staying. The food was excellent. Really tasty and beautifully presented. Very good value for money. The staff were really friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. They made us feel very welcome. I have recommended to my family who live in the area and will definitely be back again when visiting.

Went for a meal on Saturday and the food was delicious. Very friendly staff clean and tidy surrounding. Only a couple of small tiny issues. Not enough menus on the table And pudding choice all chocolatey far to sweet for me . Maybe a fruit crumble or Apple pie would be nice as I don't do chocolate or ice cream. Other than that it was lovely

My friend and I went here for food and a drink recently. We decided to have two steaks as they were on offer at £21 for the two. We ordered half a pint of Thatchers cider and a small glass of Malbec wine. The food was served fairly quickly but my friends steak was over done. So was mine but I wasn't that concerned. She complained about her steak and another one was brought which was also over done. She left hers. When I went to pay, the barman said he wouldn't charge for the one steak and gave me the bill. I paid but on returning home I noticed I had been charged £24.20p, which meant the drinks were over £10. Very unimpressed with the food and the price.

I don't know how long ago "Paul" wrote his review - or if he is in fact an owner but in July 2013 I found that the fish sold here is very thin, quite scrappy and has its skin on. Even the largest sized portion sold is miniscule compared to the standard sized portions served in the average fish and chip shop.My complaint was met only with argument - hardly good customer service - and several more scrappy looking, small,thin fillets of cod being waved at me - which confirmed my fear that this was the norm!I was bitterly disappointed in the both the value of the unsatisfactory meal I bought there and the customer service. NEVER again!

Had a very nice meal yesterday 27 oct 8pm. Food was great ,staff were as always very nice and friendly. The only thing that spoiled the eve was we had to sit away from the main restaurant and were all freezing cold which indeed spoiled the evening. So unless we eat in the main restaurant I would not want to go again which is a shame.
