Really good service, excellent quality food and great for families with kids.

Good selection of food on the set menu, and reasonably priced. Unfortunately service was poor, we had to ask for menus after 10mins, the replenishment of drinks was slow, and plates were clear while some were still eating. Out of 5 meals, 3 were really good but two quite bland. It was quite busy, so very noisy in the restaurant.

Another great meal at Verdes and glad to see them back open. Only issues were, time taken for order to be taken (They weren't busy when we arrived), order was incorrect for one of the dishes, long wait for food to arrive and left waiting a long time between first course and being offered dessert menu. We then had to ask for the bill. Lovely meal, nice atmosphere, but whilst I don't like being rushed, this time they were the opposite way, with absolutely no sense of urgency.

I ordered a sparkling water & got still water. Trivial but set the scene. Got 2 menus. Early bird & main menu. Person taking the order seemed never to have read the main menu. We had to point, a number of times, to what we want. We were told it was only his second day. That is no excuse. We joked to ourselves that he wouldn’t get a third day. I ordered fish. I was amazed when the waiter came back to ask how I wanted it cooked. After not getting anywhere the manager came over. It was obvious my order had been given incorrectly to the kitchen, despite it being pointed out on the menu. The starters were no better than ok. My main was poor. My wife’s, again fish, was so overcooked that it was inedible. We sent it back & declined the offer of an alternative. It was so bad my wife didn’t want anything else from them. At least they knocked it off the bill

Another great meal. There was a misunderstanding about the order & the wrong meal arrived. They couldn’t have handled it any better. You find out how good a place is when things go wrong. Definitely will be back soon.

Lovely atmosphere and food. The location is just perfect, with fantastic views over the rolling countryside.

Really enjoyed our first visit to Whins Green and found everything as good as other reviewers. The service was excellent, a good balance of meals to choose from, and wonderful views from the outside area.

Glad our favourite restaurant is back open, been twice since reopen and first class service and great food. Well done Gabi and team

Pre-booked and visisted with my mum and neice (none of us are vegetarian) The location is beautiful The staff are fabulous - attentive and very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. And then the food - out of this world. We all loved it. A little more expensive than we would normally pay but the location, staff and quality definately made it worthy of the cost. Cant wait to visit again....

The restaurant was ideally set out to provide spacing between tables, and entrance to tables controlled, so no worry about Covid. The menu provided a massive range of dishes to choose from. Service was excellent as it always has been and the quality of the food was also excellent. Would highly rate the whole operation.

Beautiful location, delicious food. Good options for myself with gluten dairy and soya intolerence. The staff are helpful and information regarding ingredients, always consulting the chef. Friendly service.

Staff very helpful when you’re able to get their attention. Mother very pleased due to there being no garlic in the soup! BLT very tasty but not very imaginative. Deserts are a delight! Do intend to visit and try the breakfast menu. Dogs welcome to sit outdoors which is a bonus!

We had the specials menu which is great value for money. The starters however are quite old fashioned and could do with an update. The service was friendly but quite hectic and disorganised. We were sat down, waited 15 mins to order a drink (which we had to ask to do... they weren't busy), the food arrived but there wasn't any cutlery... again we had to ask. The owner didn't seem to oversee the staff. We will return but not for a while. Lovely decor, especially since the renovation.
