Happy Village – ChorleyAbsolutely outstanding menu, quality far outweighing the cost. Good choice of guest beers on tap and great service. Very much recommended
Original Farmers Arms – ChorleyThis is the best Pub Fayre i have ever come across. All home cooked quality food in a friendly atmosphere. My wife asked for cheese and biscuits after her meal what she couldnt eat kept me in butties for work for two days! and they were more than happy to doggy bag.........my daughter assures me its the best ice cream shes ever had....sorry bonds and fredericks! Nice well priced wine & bubbly too!
Original Farmers Arms – ChorleyHad a meal at blue elephant last weekend, we really enjoyed the food and the service was very good. The exotic duck starter for two priced at £9.95 was great value for money recommend it to you anytime. Can? wait till they re-open the main restaurant downstairs which they said they are spending half a million pound on the refurbishment. The theme not contemporary this time. We?e booked a party for twenty-five people at the new blue elephant at scarsbrick near omskirk.
The Elephant – ChorleyRegularly eat here. Food is excellent particularly the fegatini as a starter. Portions are good. Small bar area. No need to book (usually) but may have to wait in the small but comfortable bar area until your table is ready.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyI have dined at P&P (Chorley) regularly for the past twelve months and am very surprised that no one has commented about it on this Website. The food at this quaint Italian Restaurant is constantly at a high standard, with a variety of dishes to suit all tastes. The proprietors boast a large menu, specials which change monthly and a large fish board. They also have "happy hour" times, between 12-2pm and 5.30 - 6.30pm throughout the week!! The last meal I ate there was on 15/01/2005. I had Chicken Picante to start, a spicy starter of chicken and bacon in a spicy tomato sauce covered in cheese. My main course was Baby leg of lamb, sat on garlic mash potato covered in port wine jus, with an array of fresh vegetables. For dessert I enjoyed dime bar cheesecake with vanilla ice cream. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, just like the service; the restaurant is small but cosy and is soon to move location to larger premises. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good food and good times!!!
Parmesan And Pepper – ChorleyWent on Friday night about 7pm, there seemed to be a lot of screaming kids knocking around, maybe we went too early?! No complaints other than that.
Alghero – ChorleyI visited Truffles restaurant last week with my husband and family and have bored all my friends to death about how much we enjoyed it. The menu is fantastic, and there were traditional and more adventurous items on the menu so all of our party were happy? good selection of veggie stuff too. I had monkfish in tamarind, lime and coconut broth and it was delicious. All portions were very generous too-nouvelle cuisine without the stinginess! Also, a really nice touch was that the chef/owner came out of the kitchen to chat to all the customers and to ask if everything was alright, which made us feel really pampered. One more thing-try the assiette of desserts. Three different desserts on one plate. Heaven!
Truffles – ChorleyThis place is of the highest quality, and second to none (except perhaps SAGARS of Blackrod, Bolton which is also outstanding). The food and service are excellent, with a wide choice of dishes. The south Indian murghi is a must!
The Elephant – ChorleyI have eaten at this restaurant twice now; both times the service was average to poor. Starters also seemed average but the main courses were very good and this was where they redeemed themselves somewhat. Unfortunately, the service was so bad the second time I won? be returning. Table booked for 9pm, only sat down at 9:50. Missing place settings at the table (only 9 seats for a party of 10), miscounted starters, and excessive wait for drinks, only to not have them turn up and need to ask again. Shame really as the main courses was very good. I would highly recommend the Sagar in Clayton Brook instead
The Elephant – ChorleyAfter enjoying a night among the Royal sovereign with Boatel Party Cruises in Chorley, I was thrilled with the staff, food, D.J, captain, bar, disco and games. What a fun filled night. I went on an adults cruise but I believe they do all sorts of cruises! Fantastic! What more can I say! I?l be back at Christmas!
Boatel Party Cruises – ChorleyThis Restaurant was delightful. The service was outstanding, the food was scrumptious, the atmostphere was very comfortable and the decor was very nice.
Original Farmers Arms – Chorleygood food could improve more on quality and presentation.service bit too common for a place in the country and contempory style in my opinion do not suit the natural character of the building nor the lovely picturesque area, need to tone down on brightness and colours to dinning tone.cost of food i suppose goes hand in hand with that of common town-like service, expected to be lot higher for the standard of food and restaurant in general.would recomend to others in particularly younger friends.
The Elephant – ChorleyIntimate atmosphere for a 'pub' but menu much more varied than your average local, and of a much higher quality. Menu changes frequently and is extensive, from pub fare to more exotic variations. Always busy. One of my personal favourites.
The Malthouse Farm – Chorleycomfortable-cheerful-cost friendly -cosy-good nay excellent beer and clientele say us four muskateers Alice - Jill Des & Bob all of Southport.
Original Farmers Arms – ChorleyYou`ll never suffer a bad meal at this establishment, it`s friendly with good service and nicely prepared food. It tends to be more expensive than your average curry house, but is also a step above, so I suppose they can justify it to a point. The meal is never rushed and the menu is varied and well presented. All in all one of the better curry houses in Ceentral Lancashire and well worth a visit.
