It was my first time visiting The Blue Anchor with my sister . What a fantastic meal we had, couldn’t fault it . The waiting staff were polite , attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I came straight home and booked for Sunday lunch in the New Year .

My husband and I had the pleasure of having the 6 course taster menu on 15th November. The service and food was outstanding and will be recommending this restaurant to all our friends. We will definitely be returning soon. Thank you

What a wonderful meal I had with 2 of my friends last night! From the moment I arrived it was a super evening. The atmosphere was warm & inviting and the decor beautiful. Our service was faultless and the food delicious. I am very much looking forward to many more visits! X

We did have a nice evening but felt a little rushed at the beginning to order drinks although we had just sat down. The food was lovely although mine was not very hot. Not a major problem for me but might be for other people

We had lunch at the Barn with three other friends, such a great place to meet,organised, great atmosphere and a lovely centre to look round. Although the food was as good as it always is we found the menu slightly more restrictive this visit as we didn't want a dinner.We all felt we would have liked another couple of sandwich options or panini.

Firstly, the staff were lovely and very accommodating, there was no complaint there. The menu offered a varied selection but some items were worded overly fancy for the kind of restaurant I feel is the Blue Anchor. The food was not great, dry tasteless steak, overly spiced starter and dessert was dry and tasteless, it was very disappointing. The food was presented very well and was hot but there was no flavour. I had a large coke, 50/50 share of a starter, main and dessert with coffee and that cost £55pp. I thought the price was very very steep for what it was.

Service and food were faultless. A welcome Sunday lunch treat, definitely will be returning. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Perfectly cooked roast beef finished off with an incredible Irish coffee.

Came for coffee n scones with 3 friends. Cheese scones delicious. Service good. Price reasonable. As I come quite a lot the quality n service is always consistent. Favourite garden centre. Sometimes very noisy.

My friend and I met at the Barn for brunch yesterday. We both had the Barn Breakfast which was delicious. Just the right amount of food, not too much, not too little - and tasted great! We weren't rushed by the staff and the atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommend.

Always love eating out at The Barn Cafe. Such a lovely place to catch up with friends and/or family with a great atmosphere, good food and friendly service. I always book a table to avoid disappointment and it’s lovely to have a look around the garden centre after.

Great food, excellent service and that little extra customer service to make my mum’s birthday lunch survival for her. Thank you to all staff, kitchen and front of house.

Went for a Sunday lunch and one of the best ones had there... if I have one grumble is that I wish more veg then just one bowl between 4 . Rather a bowl between 2 but guess you could end with lots left or just put on plate.. but good lovely Service was also good the girls that served always polite and friendly. Would recommend

My favourite place to eat such lovely food and extensive menu. Staff are very professional and friendly and decor so pretty, will definitely see you again soon

We have always had a lovely time at the barn and the food is great from breakfast, to lunch, to coffee and cake. The people there are friendly and helpful. I make sure to book a table tho so not to miss out as it’s always full.

Such a lovely place to meet friends for a good catch up and natter. The food was excellent and arrived promptly. Drinks were good and we even had room for a gorgeous piece of cake each. Really reasonably priced, good service and fantastic atmosphere, we will be back
