Our local pub so very handy and a nice addition to the village. Service was friendly and efficient with all the pre-ordered food ( we were a party of 12) arriving as per the list. I think the food is as expected for a place with very reasonable prices and all the plates were clean at the end. I didn't notice the atmosphere but am sure it was good and I didn't miss piped music as we were busy chatting.

We had sunday lunch. We enjoyed it that much we went back the next week

First time was on Saturday 4th June for lunch. Food was lovely and worth every penny but the atmosphere was glum to say the least. No one smiled, no cheery greeting, it was just a miserable atmosphere. If it had felt happy and welcoming it would be perfect but unfortunately it was rather depressing so we won’t be returning.

We had a get together here in memory of my late Dad who was brought up in Astbury Marsh around 90 years ago. We had a buffet which was delicious & the waiting on girls were lovely too.

Food was good, homemade and excellent quality. Good value for money and would not hesitate to visit again.

Highly recommend the crab and prawn linguine it was delicious. My friends had the fish and chip dinner ,the fish was succulent with not too much batter and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Nothing too much trouble , great service by the young gentleman. Well done will certainly invite my friends again . Thank you

Lovely food but poor service. Was not asked if further drinks were wanted and once plates were taken we were just left. Not asked if we wanted to order desert or required the bill.

We called in here after visiting Castaway Play. The food looked good online and it seemed to have a country pub look and feel to it. Our initial reactions were that the service was awful. Our waitress was unpleasant and never came back to take our order (we had to go and ask to order). They slightly improved but we felt like everything was too much trouble. Oh the flip side, the food and drink were extremely good. We had the pie of the day. Really good portion sizes and it tasted truly home cooked. I tried some of our sons pizza, that was also really good. Dough tasted home made along with the sauce. Overall we would go back. I think the service was a blip. And the food was worth it.

Very quiet, not very warm welcome from the young staff. Service was very slow, 35 minutes for 2 pasta dishes. Food when it arrived was very tasty although my risotto was a little “wet”. Puttanesca was very good.

Food was very nice and the service was good.pleasant staff.I Shall return.

Had a really great time here. Came for a drink and decided to stay for dinner. It was a quiet when I arrived but got a little busier during food service. Lovely waitress who was really helpful with my request for extra gravy. I had pie and chips and a great pint of Unicorn. Delicious. Can't fault it. See you again soon

I booked a table at the Egerton Arms for Wednesday 19 April 2023 for 12.30 on arrival we were seated in the bar area the table that they had given us wasn't really big enough for the 3 of us, we did ask for a bigger table and there was a vacant table for 4 people which we moved to. We were abit disappointed that we weren't offered a table in the restaurant. The food was lovely what we ordered but there was quite a wait due to the chef being very busy a couple that came in after us walked out they weren't prepared to wait . We have been previously and what happened will not stop us coming again.

Such good service. A delight after the slow and sometimes churlish service elsewhere in the area. They brought the baby mash and gravy immediately as they seemed to know , babies won't wait. He devoured it. Our meals were excellent and the fish fingers were really fish goujons no filler just pure fish. A most enjoyable experience. To be repeated.

What an amazing cafe/deli/bakery. The window is packed to the rafters with delicious looking cakes and pies. the deli has lovely quality ingredients. And the cafe has a great little menu. My soup and sandwich were very tasty. A real gourmet cafe.
