Another fabulous visit to the Molesworth. There is always a warm welcome and great service. The food was amazing and much more than your usual options. Highly recommended and will see you again soon.

We had a very nice meal with generous portions. A very relaxed atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. We will definitely visit again.

Unfortunately the food has gone massively down hill. Four people on our table had the same tacos which all came out with different side dishes. When we asked for extras wr got charged £2 for each small pot! They only served one local beer and also completely messed up our payment at the end, which when your out for a meal with friends completely ruins the vibe! Won’t be returning unfortunately

Cocktails were not good, had to send a couple back as they tasted like petrol. Food was average. Was told that it has changed hands recently, shame as I heard it was nice there and it really was not a good experience. Don’t waste your money. If it wasn’t a work do I would have left.

Staff were absolutely fab. I mean, who can resist when the wheel is brought to your table, fab tactic but we were alllll over it!! Such a fun idea! Cocktails were really lovely and there was a lot of choice compared to other places. All of the staff were really kind, even when we got too merry and were probably annoying… can’t say too much on the food as we only ordered chips but we were all baffled because they were the nicest chips ever?? This totally sounds like I’ve been paid to say this but genuinely those chips were really good that we all spoke about them for the rest of the evening (yes we need to get out more). Anyway, we’d visit again in a heartbeat!

We always enjoy going to the Molesworth and our last visit was no different. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was excellent. Unfortunately for me, alot of the dishes I would have chosen, were unavailable, so that was a bit disappointing. I had a mixture of starters and side dishes so didn't go hungry! We had a lovely evening with friends in a great atmosphere.

I want to like the place but they need to get it together. There was no price for some drinks on the menu, stupidly we didn’t notice this and found out they were £28 each? The bill arrived and wasn’t correctly itemised with things like: Miscellaneous drinks £20. Who wouldn’t question that? Then they brought another bill that said 10% discount and when I went to pay they said “oh hold on, the discount was for someone else!? “ I paid the bill but didn’t leave a tip, I’m not the type to make a fuss or complain. I just think it’s a shame because we used to go there regularly but it’s not what it used to be. Perhaps they need a bit of time. The food was ok, the atmosphere was weird, really hard dance music and strobe lights whilst trying to eat. I like dance music but that was weird. I must say that despite the confusion the young ladies who were serving were very pleasant and I just feel sorry for them. I might try them again next year.

Food was on the whole good one of the fish dishes was very salty needed something to counteract but a part from that on whole a pleasant experience

Couldn’t be faulted. Had the roast lamb with cauliflower cheese as an extra. Food was top quality, the ambience in the pub was good, and the staff very polite and helpful. Excellent

An exceptional dinner. Beautiful cooked and seasoned medium rare sirloin steak with pepper sauce. Proper triple cooked chips crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Delicious pork belly on a bed of seasonal veg and new potatoes. Would dine here again.

We ate at the pub on a Tuesday night but it was still fully booked. Service was great and food was nice however don’t go planning to have something from the amazing sounding specials menu suggested on the website as there was no specials menu offered which was very disappointing. The virgin Pina Colada and local beers were a highlight.

A good night spoiled: The food was of a good pub grub standard. Decent portions, nothing fancy. The service was mostly good. Our main waitress was lovely, (we were also served by a very grumpy, almost rude young woman, which was a shame.) Our main issue came when we attempted to order drinks with our meal for our 18 and 21 year old children. They were asked for ID, which they weren't carrying as we were out for a family meal and legally you can drink at 16 with a meal. We have never encountered this issue before and long story short, it was made into a huge problem by the manager and left a very unpleasant impression of the way the establishment is run. We felt we were being watched and the amount our children were drinking was being monitored. We weren't able to order a bottle of wine for the table because the manager said we might let the children drink more than 2 glasses (which he arbitrarily decided was their limit, having said they couldn't drink at all originally.) It was all very ridiculous and frustrating and marred what could have been a pleasant enough evening. We looked for an alternative venue, but everywhere was busy, so we had to stick with it, otherwise we would definitely have bailed. Shame.

Good food, good service and a pleasant atmosphere. Reasonably priced.
