Kingswood The – St AustellRather expensive. Had to complain about the crab and avocado starter - virtually no crab, thin slices of extremely under-ripe avocado cost around £7.30. Not charged for the starter but the manageress was off hand and turned away and walked off when I tried to explain what was unacceptable about it. Main course of turbot was fine. A real shame. The wine bar below is very good. This type of place is needed so much in Helston. It could easily be the very best in the town. Shame about the restaurant's unprofessional management.
Henly’s Bar and Restaurant – HelstonWow! What a find. No.6 is the best restaurant, by a mile, that I have ever visited in a very very long time. Fantastic food, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and a food experience to savour for a very long time.
Paul Ainsworth at No 6 – PadstowA great all day spot for coffee, lunch and evening dinner. Everything so fresh and tasty. And the service is friendly and welcoming.
Rhubarbs – St IvesWe found this place on our holiday last week and it was fantastic. All the staff are so wonderful and our food was amazing i had the sticky Chinese pork thought i had gone to heaven, for mains seabass on prawn and crayfish risotto just stunning. It was so good we went back the next night. Next year its the first on our list to be booked. Customer service here was the best and they never stopped well done and thanks.
Firehouse Bar and Grill – St IvesAfter visiting the Balti King, all I can say is that the food was tasteless, extremely overpriced, the service mediocre. All the Tikka dishes were an extreme disappointment, the saag paneer looked and tasted like it had Cheddar in it ! At least it tasted of something I suppose. The only saving grace was the veg Dhansak, albeit far too spicy for a relatively mild dish. If this is the best Indian in Cornwall I might suggest a visit to Manchester for some excellent quality Indian food at reasonable prices.
Balti King – HayleAbsolutely fantastic. Fabulous food wonderfully presented. Imaginative, delicious and beautifully cooked. Great hospitality and wines. If you want a really memorable meal then this is the place and I think good value for the quality.
Langmans Restaurant – CallingtonThe Greenhouse came highly recommended and as I work and stay in St Keverne during the week it is fantastic to have such a quality restaurant on the doorstep. The food is superb, the setting is informal and very friendly. It is always worth booking ahead if you can, although I have got lucky a couple of times just turning up on the night. If you are in the area it is well worth a visit, actually it is worth a visit even if you are not that local! Even as I write this review, I have just decided to try and book a table for tonight! .
Greenhouse Organic Restaurant – The LizardIf you are visiting the Penzance/Carbis Bay/St Ives area a visit to this place is an ABSOLUTE must! The food is superb, the portions are massive and the desserts are to die for! We've been loads of times and never, ever fail to make at least one trip whenever we are in Cornwall. Their farm shop is also very good - packed with lots and lots of tasty, home produced food.
Trevaskis Farm Restaurant – HayleAnother superb and perfect meal at The Greenhouse. Everything served in the restaurant is local and bursting with flavour. Five of us chose different dishes for each course and each was exquisite. Neil is wonderfully professional, friendly and calm at front of house while Leonie works magic in the kitchen. Booking is advisable but you might just be lucky if a table is turned early. A must for any trip to the area.
Greenhouse Organic Restaurant – The LizardThe poor quality food is only beaten by the staff attitude. To be fair when our waitress was fine, but when we complained to the 'manager' he couldn't care less. Would not reconmend to anyone.
East Meets West – St AustellWhat a fantastic place to sit an watch the sun go down. As a party of 6 we spent two very happy evenings here. and were lucky to watch the Dolphins swim across the bay just great.
Gylly Beach Cafe – FalmouthThere's no doubt that the food at Tabb's is good. I would take issue with the claim of a weekly changing menu though. We went for an evening meal in April and again in July and encountered exactly the same menu on both occasions. Given that it's not exactly a long menu I won't be going again in a hurry. I do like a bit of variety.
Tabbs Restaurant – TruroTerrible, unfriendly service, mediocre food, altogether a very unwelcoming and horrible experience. We went with small children and felt as if they wanted us to leave as soon as we arrived.
Kegen Teg – PenzanceNever eat here! I never thought it was possible to get service as bad as we had at Indigo Bay Restaurant at the Bedruthan. The food was nice, but it was the worst dining experience I have ever had. Definitely NOT worth it.
The Herring Restaurant @ The Bedruthan Steps Hotel – NewquayWe take our motorhome to St. Ives every Spring and the first place we visit is Peppers. Really wish this eating place was here in Yorkshire it would be part of our weekly menu. Great food at even better prices. Well Done to your team they are dedicated to ensuring you leave happy.
Peppers Pasta and Pizzeria – St IvesI have visited this lovely restaurant many times now and each time it is just fab. Very personal service, very nice grown up place which is intimate as it is small but has a lovely atmosphere too. Good to visit for a special occasion or just to spoil yourself, though it isn't expensive for the quality - the food is freshly prepared and of excellent quality. I am always made to feel welcome and they will adjust the menu or offer other items if there is dietary or nothing on the menu that appeals. (for example)
La Bouche Creole – LauncestonReturned to The Bakehouse again wasn't disappointed! beautiful steak, knife slipped through it like butter.yum.
Bakehouse Restaurant – Penzance
