New Garden Chinese Restaurant – NewquayI fink it is a great restaurant with wonderfully tasting food! Greg laskey is an amazing cook!
New Yard – The LizardHave had many take-aways and a few sit down meals and in every case the food was excellent. Truro has been looking for a restaurant of this style for years and finally it has arrived. Not only is the menu extensive but also very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit a place not to be missed by lovers of fine food.
Chantek Thai and South East Asian Restaurant – TruroI have eaten at the Pier House on special occasions, such as New Year & Valentines Day and was extremely impressed. The fish dishes particularly are superb. For the Valentines meal, I had monkfish in pancetta on a bed of cous cous with roasted red peppers & feta cheese. Absolutely beautiful! I also ordered the most wicked cointreau & chocolate roulade. The staff are really friendly & the main part of the restaurant has harbour views, although if you are seated in the bistro part, it isn't half as nice. I think that is my only criticism. I haven't tried the Sunday carvery for some years, but I am sure it will be in the same league as the a la carte menu.
Pier House Hotel – St AustellThe food was absolutely delicious, puddings to die for!! Like home cooked food. The atmosphere was lovely too, very quaint. We will definitely go again.
Smugglers Cott – LooeThis place is well worth a visit and does take-away too. A lovely atmosphere, an extensive menu for both food and drinks and our food arrived in no time. I'll definitely be returning.
Chantek Thai and South East Asian Restaurant – TruroOn venturing on holiday to Cornwall my family and I stumbled across an exquisite humble restaurant. The food was divine with a variety of choices, including excellent vegetarian dishes . The staff were polite and very attentive, this made our meal absolutely charming. Would very much like to go again.
Pizza Patio – HayleAnother excellent meal last friday. Consistency is a great plus in a restaurant. Its also good because the half bottle selection allows you to choose the right wine with every course. We are so lucky to have this on our doorstep.
Alba – St IvesBoth being vegans, we wanted to see what Chantek had to offer us. The menu seemed to offer a wide range of vegetarian options, so it would seem a good chance that the vegan options would be good. Initially we were told that none of the dishes were vegan but when pushed, one of the front of house staff went to question the chefs. He returned to tell us that pretty much any of the vegetarian options could be made vegan. So after an initial struggle, we had a very tasty and healthy meal that we would highly recommend. They left out the Soya sauce though because they said it was made from fish! (Funny that because we thought it was made from Soya beans!).
Chantek Thai and South East Asian Restaurant – TruroHad a wonderful Chicken Jalfrazei in funky modern surroundings. An unexpected treat in St.Ives.
Rajpoot – St IvesWhat views!!!
Godolphin Arms – MarazionIf you are in Truro, Chantek is well worth a visit !! Excellent food, and excellent choice of food, with plenty of vegetarian options. The restaurant can cope with group bookings, and copes just as well with intimate bookings for two too !! The service was excellent, and we were made to feel very welcome in this modern very smart restaurant
Chantek Thai and South East Asian Restaurant – Trurowhat a find! After several visits i cannot fault the place.Fun, great food, great decor.
Sams – FoweyDown on the Lizard, the UK? most south westerly point, is one of the best restaurants in the county - the New Yard Inn at Trelowarren. Greg Laskey received two AA rosettes within six months of sharpening his knives and lighting the stoves. He sources 80% of his ingredients from within the 10 square miles of the Lizard, and in rich autumn and winter months, he forages on the estate for wild mushrooms, damsons and berries, game and herbs and turns them into a cornucopia of good food. I started with the Game Terrine which silenced me with its perfection - a gloriously smooth parfait of duck? liver encased within rabbit, squab, pheasant and woodcock meat with an intense elderberry jelly. I continued the wild menu with sautéed pigeon breasts with truffle-scented parsnip puree. Pudding was a gloriously silky concoction of creamy apple and blackberry topped with a crisp, nutty headdress
New Yard – The LizardExellent food and service, but too pricey!
Baba Indian Restaurant – TruroThe food at Shanaz is always of an excellent standard as is the service. Good food served with a smile!
Shanaz – TruroThe force is with this restaurant to good to be true, the best of the rest!
