Cassiel Bar and Kitchen – HullCould not fault a thing. Service spot on, friendly, helpful and attentive without being over bearing. Food was yummy, plentiful and as we eat with out eyes, looked delicious. Great atmosphere, didn't feel rushed and would definitely recommend and will be back.

Raph’s Lounge – HullFantastic restaurant and atmosphere, such a varied menu with something for everyone. The food is always consistently delicious and excellent service.
Cassiel Bar and Kitchen – HullWe went on a Saturday night there was 4 of us, had a meal then stayed for the entertainment and was not disappointed, great night was had by all of us.
Raph’s Lounge – HullWhat a great place. The menu is varied and offers lots of choice including reasonable healthy options. The food arrived in good time and was lovely; well cooked and nicely presented. We ended up being a large group of 10 and the staff dealt with us efficiently and were very nice.
Raph’s Lounge – HullExcellent
Cassiel Bar and Kitchen – HullWe took 3 of our grandchildren for a meal on Wednesday evening as a treat. They spent quite a while deciding what to choose because of such an extensive menu. Choices made, we placed our order (mostly different dishes) We waited a while to be served which is fine as everything is cooked to order. All the meals arrived together, hot and plentiful. Nobody had any complaints at all about their food and all eager to visit again. I would like to add as a matter of courtesy that when the waiter came to collect the dishes, he noticed I was still eating so said he would come back. I really appreciate that as I often have to ask members of staff not to clear tables if some guests are still eating so thank you for that.
Raph’s Lounge – HullVisited on our wedding anniversary which I mentioned when booking. Table had been decorated with romantic items and we were greeted with 'happy anniversary' by staff. There was one particularly loud customer who spoilt the atmosphere a little but that was not the fault of the bar. Good food and well looked after.
Cassiel Bar and Kitchen – Hull5 star!
Cassiel Bar and Kitchen – HullWe eat here quite regularly, the food is fantastic quality, generous portions and extremely well priced. Service is always great, definitely worth a look if you haven’t tried it already.
Raph’s Lounge – HullThis pub has gone down so much since I last visited it. Put it this way wont be going back there anytime soon. Bar makd asked if we wanted glasses for a J2O drink? Ordered sandwich with a portion of chips got 9 yes 9 chips. Not exactly a portion. The barmaid should rethink her career choice not chatted never smiled could not be bothered really shame because this pub use to be full and people used to queue up to get in
Duke of Cumberland – CottinghamI visited the restaurant on Sunday 11th March and was disappointed by the buffet and customer service… I have emailed them and been completely ignored. I had visited the restaurant once before with a friend and found the food delicious, the service slightly lacking but the quality of food made up for it. I decided to take someone else to the buffet on Sunday (despite there being other Chinese restaurants open much closer to my home). On arrival the waitress that greeted us looked moody and pointed us in the direction of a table before vanishing. We waited at least 5 minutes before anyone offered us a drink, which then took a further 15 minutes to arrive (A small glass of orange juice and a small glass of coke should not take that long to pour with that many staff around.) We went over to the buffet table, with no staff nearby, and picked up plates ready to serve ourselves the Aromatic Crispy Pork…. a Waitress hurried over and rudely pushed aside so that she could serve us instead. (This waitress looked very grumpy whilst serving us and when walking around the restaurant. I have waitressing experience myself and believe that no matter how you feel you should try to be friendly and happy towards customers). When serving the rest of the food for ourselves we were unsure as to what each dish was or contained (labels would have been useful like many other buffets have). I assured my companion that the quality of food would make up for the rude staff and our difficultly at identifying every dish. However, the food was cold (even dishes that were kept under hot lamps). We both left the restaurant feeling highly disappointed by the meal and regretted not visiting a more local restaurant. My advice to anyone reading this is to avoid the Sunday buffet. The previous meal I had was good but unless you are Chinese the staff will be rather rude to you!

Mill House Restaurant – CottinghamMy wife and I called in at The Mill House several months ago to assess it's potential as a venue to spend New Year's Eve and found the staff both courteous and helpful. My wife subsequently booked for the New Year's Eve 2009 function (buffet), at The Mill House at £48/head in good time. To show good faith she paid a deposit of £50. On New Year's Eve day, she developed full blown flu and had to take to her bed. I rang the Mill House, explained the situation and asked if it would be possible to transfer the deposit to a meal to be taken at a later time, when my wife had recovered. We only recently discovered the Mill House and have been looking forward to dining there and would probably have done so on a regular basis if impressed. I was met with a flat 'No' from the Manager, delivered by the Assistant Manager, who told me that the Manager had said we should have informed them earlier. I explained that you do not plan to catch the flu, that I did not want a refund but intended to spend the money and probably more on a meal, but this still had no effect. I pointed out that we have been looking forward to dining there and were a potential long term investment, but that had no effect either. Consequently, all the publicity about how magnanimous the Manager is on the Mill House website cuts no ice with me and, coincidentally, the part of their website where you can post comments does not work.
