The food and staff here are lovely. Nothing is too much trouble and are able to eat your starter without the next course being brought to you before you've finished. Highly recommend. It is slightly more expensive than some places but food is homecooked and you get what you pay for.

Very attentive and polite staff and lovely atmosphere. We, the same group of four, have regularly visited here for the last 40 years. My one and only criticism, the so called, hand cut chips that are over sized and too greasy. If they were smaller and better cooked then I would be a much happier bunny! In fairness to The Red Lion, many places seem to offer these chips these days. No one appears to offer a well cooked and firm chip. A fuss over nothing maybe but you did ask…

Amazing food and great service.

Staff very welcoming and informative regarding menu choice. Surroundings were extremely comfortable. Food was excellent. We started with the soup which was probably the best we have ever had. We then had the turkey dinner with all the trimmings which could not be faulted with a good selection of vegetables. Would certainly recommend and will return again soon. All four of us in our party were very impressed and thought it was good value for money.

Honestly, I can never fault this place and this visit was perfect. The food was beyond beautiful, it was possibly one of the best meals ive ever eaten. The girls serving were brilliant, the atmosphere was relaxing and the added bonus is that because of their Xmas offers, I get 50% off when we visit in January for my birthday.

I've sent a review before saying how brilliant the food and customer service is at the Red Lion is. Now several visits later, my opinion has not changed. We have never had a bad experience. The food is always lovely, and all the staff are helpful, friendly and professional. We've always been seated at our table at, or before our booking times, and served promptly after ordering our meals. I have brought friends along pn several occasions, and they are also regular customers now.

My mum and I had a lovely meal at the Red Lion, being vegetarian there are only usually a couple of options but I was very impressed with the recipe and the meal was delicious. So definitely a 5 star review off us! I would definitely recommend and will definitely visit again! I must add the waitress was very friendly and efficient.

We were shown to our table promptly, the pub was warm and cosy, with log fires giving a lovely ambiance. The food was delicious, generous portions and piping hot. The lunchtime menu is fantastic value, two courses for £16 or three courses for £20. The staff were attentive and are an asset to the pub.

The food was delicious and came promptly. Atmosphere good. Only thing letting it down was the slow and sometimes lack of service .

Menu needs some updating, to pre-covid times . Please bring back chicken moz , curries spaghetti bolagnase, ect . And your homemade trifle and tiramisu were amazing, PLEASE..

Once again the service and food was excellent. We brought friends who have never been before, they loved the food, the atmosphere, and the service of the as usual excellent staff.
