Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsLate afternoon meal at the Hope and Anchor, Flookburgh. The book process was easy and we were give confirmation promptly. We ordered the Sunday roast which arrived in good time without being rushed. The food was wholesome and plentiful. The table was in the public bar area, which was warm and comfortable. The waitress who had taken our order was polite but the atmosphere of the room was uncomfortable. The loud inappropriate foul language from the bar area was including members of the bar staff soured the experience and on leaving we vowed not to return.

Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsWe came for a family meal to celebrate a birthday whilst we are staying at the haven holiday site down the road. All of the meals were piping hot and very good portion size, especially the children’s meal. We also had the apple crumble which was incredible, best we’ve ever had. Highly recommend the hope and anchor. We thought it was reasonably priced too.

Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsDecent food, service and value for money. Wife had Sea Bass and really enjoyed. I had Steak Pie and only minor criticism was pastry a bit thick in the bottom corner, but really tasty. A bit disappointed that a Robinson's Pub had no hand-pulled ale on.
