Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsExcellent service from welcoming and helpful staff, would recommend the pub and its facilities to anyone. Food quality, choice and value for money was exceptional, I really can’t fault anything.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsAmazing pub set in a quiet location. The pub is pet friendly. I like how they have split the pub between 2 different sides, the dine side and social side which has 4..... Yes 4 dart boards with a pool table. The bar and food service was brilliant. Highly recommend to all visitors. I would like to say a massive thank to Josh who looked after us and his little side kick James. Also if you catch it when the weather is good, it has a lovely beer garden. Best to book up on the website for a table as It can get busy. Complimentary to the chef who I never got to meet. Keep up the good work. See you all again soon
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsHaving book a table for 6 people on the 17th June 2025. The gent who was serving drinks and booking you to be very rude it was like it was to much trouble. Having orderd our food it was a long weight for it to arrive and it was not that good. Some of us orderd puddings. I orderd a strawberry sundae and all it was strawberry ice cream with a bit of cream on top. The other puddings were apple crumble and there was that much butter in the crumble it was running everywhere in the dish. When we tryed to get another drink the barmen was to busy having a laugh and joke with his friends in the bar. Having used this pub the year before where we found it to be very good we where very disappointed in the service we received and the quality of the food served to us. How it is run now we would not recommend anybody to go here. Very disappointed customer
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsWe were at Flookburgh haven Lakeland for a week,we have been here before and the food was delicious and amazing, thought we would go back and where not disappointed, the food was just as delicious ,the atmosphere and the service was fantastic,we will definitely be in may next year,a big thank you to all the staff keep up the good work.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsHad a lovely meal first time we went last week so decided to go again. Unfortunately that was not good, husband order a starter of soup with bread, we also ordered mains at the same time. The soup was nice but the bread had mold on it, he had already eaten one piece before he noticed. I told the guy(owner I think) he just looked and took it away, no apology or anything, I told him we didn't want the mains and paid for the drinks before leaving. There was no kind of acknowledgement, apology, remorse. He just wasn't bothered, hence to say not going again
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsGorgeous food … only think I could fault was you were fully booked & the poor bar lad was on his own but other than that couldn’t fault it at all
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-Sands3rd week on a run we’ve been for food. Can’t fault it. Tony is a fabulous host and can’t do enough for you. Highly recommend
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsWe are on holiday in flookburgh at haven lakeland. After looking around for a place to go for a meal we found this place. The food was great, very tasty and you actually got a decent portion, we then went back for Sunday lunch, which again, was lovely, fresh veg, homemade yorkies and roast potatoes ( no aunt Bessie's here) beautiful beef and pork. The staff are very friendly too. We already booked for next Sunday. I do recommend booking for Sundays.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsLooking for somewhere for Sunday lunch while on holiday , I must admit this did not come up on our searches it was just by chance we had passed it the day before , Requested a table fir 6 , and wow the food was fabulous service very good and lovely atmosphere, I would definitely recommend 100% thankyou for the lovely welcome.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsFood very poor, squashed into corner with very little room. First time I have had Fajitas in a runny gravy type sauce, which just had chilli taste. Awful.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsGreat food, lovely staff, and a great place to go.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsFabulous food, great service, great value for money.. Will definitely be back again. Highly recommended
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsRecommended to visit whilst we are on holiday, can see why, lovely feel to the place, really tasty food and friendly atmosphere. If we weren't going home soon we'd definitely revisit.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsLovely food lovely little pub
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsWe booked for a Sunday lunch for 4 adults and was blown away with the service at the bar and having a laugh with bar staff and they couldn't do enough with a fussy eater who doesn't eat potatoes so gave extra veg and when the meals came it was cooked to perfection and veg still firm and tasty the meat was thick slices and plenty of it and all this from a country pub with not much competition around is outstanding value for money and to top it off it's dog friendly it's worth more than a 5 star review definitely going to eat again the only downside is they don't serve food on a Monday but suppose everyone is entitled to have a day off
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsGreat food, great atmosphere we loved it. Would love to return when next in the area
