Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsWhat a lovely evening from Harry's and the visiting chefs! Drinks outside in front of an open fire, followed by delicious and meticulously prepared food. All in a very congenial setting.
Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn – Grange-over-SandsSupper Club night cooked by Simon Doherty, this was probably one if not the best meal , I have ever had. The waiting staff were great, the venue was great, the food was 5 star. If ever there was a winning combination of venue, atmosphere and a quality dining experience then this was it. I would really struggle to criticise anything about it, maybe the loos could do with a refresh, but to be honest I don't care as everything else was fantastic. Well done Yew Tree
Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn – Grange-over-SandsSupper night was amazing. Fantastic food, excellent choice of wines, the team super efficient! Already booked for another supper evening.
Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn – Grange-over-SandsTo start with a glass of sparkles outside in a lovely setting was fantastic....to be then followed by lovely food with attentive service - I can't fault it.

Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn – Grange-over-SandsDecided to have a meal out from out Haven holiday on Saturday. Meal took a while to show but don’t mind that when the food is as good as it was that night and the helpings are huge. Good value for money. Shame we don’t live closer to visit more often
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsBooked a table for 4, took over a hour for food to come out, had our food ordered desserts and they came over saying sorry were goung have to move you off this table it's booked for the next person even tho we waiting over a hour for food which wasn't our fault. We nipped to the toilet when we came back all our drinks had been poured away.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsBooked a table for 3 Thursday last. Waited nearly an hour for overpriced mediocre food. Steaks good, rest of the meal poor. Chunky chips ? What a joke - I'd say frozen chips, then deep fried, even gave me the blackened/bruised ones! Steak pie was good, chips as before, one piece soggy broccoli, one piece cauliflower couldnt cut into. No one asked if we enjoyed the food, we sat nearly 10 minutes after eating to finish drinks and plates still there. Wouldn't recommend.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsVery nice restaurant with food freshly cooked. Super service and lovely atmosphere.

Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsWe were lucky enough to be on holiday in Lake District on the same week as the monthly evening supper. The menu choice was superb and the actual food was delicious. Staff here are friendly and efficient and other than being drenched with rain as we walked from car to door, the evening was unbeatable, both in flavour and value
