The Bakehouse – Barrow-in-FurnessWent on Sunday for lunch since its reopened as The Bakehouse when we arrived we were asked if we had booked and our temperature was taken and track and trace rules we in place too, shown to our table and given our menus very good choice of food and drink. Waitress was attentive and I liked the way she asked if would like any sugar with our tea a nice touch. Food came within 15 mins considering it was busy very tasty we had ordered Sandwiches plenty of salad even though I was sharing with someone as well. Decor is very modern and comfortable seating and lighting we will definitely be back again.
The Bakehouse – Barrow-in-FurnessGreat new place to visit for lunch when we are in the area, a Family member told us you had refurbished. As we come from the Lakes you can literally take your dog in any cafe, I really didn't think and we did find that we could not bring my Mums Jack Russell in, I guess once the outdoor seating is finished we can sit out with the dog, luckily we parked down the side of the building and the weather was not too warm so we just left him in the car in the shade. Could you possibly make the tables on the left of the check in area where the TV is for dogs? Staff really friendly, food delicious, you do have to book it was very busy and we will definitely return.
The Bakehouse – Barrow-in-FurnessI took my mum for lunch her last week. The renovations and the cleanliness are second to none. We felt extremely safe in these strange times. The food didn't let us down either it was lovely. The staff are always amazing here and nothing has changed. We done everyone its a credit to you.
The Bakehouse – Barrow-in-FurnessWent for an evening meal with my mum, absolutely lovely food, looks really lovely now it's been redone, couldn't fault it!
The Bakehouse – Barrow-in-FurnessHad a lovely meal at the Bake House Charnleys. Atmosphere was good and felt safe and relaxed which is very important during the difficult time we are all facing at the moment. Service was good and staff were attentive and friendly ensuring that everything was ok for us . Definitely recommend a visit to this venue so nice to have a restaurant to visit with such excellent food.
The Bakehouse – Barrow-in-FurnessA lovely relaxed atmosphere with good service and excellent food . Nice background music. Just a really great place to go. I highly recommend.
The Bakehouse – Barrow-in-FurnessCar Park wheelchair unfriendly, difficult due to the chippings, maybe you could consider a dedicated disabled parking area with solid access into the building. Very nice place though, done a good job with renovations, food was good, decent size portions, service a bit confused, main meals came reasonably together, however sweets and drinks delayed, and a little slow , growing pains I'm sure, clearly a lot of new inexperienced staff, but friendly enough. The million dollar question would we return, yes of course, even though the alcoholic drinks and sweets are a bit pricey. But decent atmosphere, felt safe enough, temperatures taken on arrival, and track and trace form available. Can only get better when the small niggles are ironed out.
The Bakehouse – Barrow-in-FurnessWe went for a meal on a Friday night. Tables set out with a good distance from each other and very covid safe. Waitress was polite and friendly. Ordered starters and mains. We had the king prawns and chilli garlic bread - both delicious no faults. Then for mains I had the CIBO house pasta which was a very large portion - couldn't finish. It was nice however didn't feel it was worth the £12 - did also seem to be seasoned with rock salt which was strange coming across lumps of this. Starters were lovely, main was ok however did feel pastas could be smaller portion and price.
Cibo – BarrowVery enjoyable, good service lovely staff, and coffee good, only criticism was I asked for no butter on my bacon sandwich, and this came buttered and bacon dripping in fat too.
The Bakehouse – Barrow-in-FurnessVery enjoyable lunch. Can’t wait for the next time.
The Bakehouse – Barrow-in-FurnessMy friend and I went for afternoon tea on Thursday, it was fantastic. We had plenty to eat and drink, we left after 2 hours completely full to bursting. Thank you for great service, we will book again as we both enjoyed it.
The Bakehouse – Barrow-in-FurnessHi, this is the firsr time since March we have been. Looks very nice inside. The server, coughed into her hand then handed us the menu, the drinks came after the food and there seemed to be one member of staff who didnt wear a mask or visor. Food overall was nice. Will revisit once all restrictions are over.
The Bakehouse – Barrow-in-FurnessAnother enjoyable meal at the Aikton Arms. My wife is a coeliac and a vegetarian to boot and she loves the gluten free vegetarian lasagne, available on request. Two courses for £15 is also a winner. Staff were friendly and efficient, and social distancing was observed without reducing service quality. Recommended.
Aikton Arms – WigtonBeautiful surroundings, food & service great. Tea wasn’t upto much.. too weak for my liking!
The Bakehouse – Barrow-in-FurnessExcellent
The Bakehouse – Barrow-in-FurnessFanatic service lovely place and staff are so friendly and helpful. Overall experience 10 out 10 definitely going back .
The Bakehouse – Barrow-in-FurnessService wasn't great, it took about 30 minutes to take our order. Our food arrived very quickly but our drinks not until we had eaten despite one of the waiting staff noticing our drinks hadn't arrived when the food was brought over. It was a lovely atmosphere on arrival however it quickly became very busy which did feel uncomfortable given the current situation. There was no government track and trace in place for the app. Only a paper form which was left on our table and others on leaving, this concerns me regarding data protection. While I realise that people are unable to wear face coverings, the two staff who had the closest contact with customers were exempt and this also made us feel uncomfortable not only for ourselves but also for them. The food was lovely, fresh and a good price.
